It’s truly incredible how good he’s been already when a large portion of our attacking play for the last 18 months has been to effectively pass him the ball at the half way line and tell him “go beat 5 men and make something happen”.
I think he’s going to be invaluable to Ange with his ability to playmake tight to the touch line as a winger and centrally from an 8/10 position. Fantastic player, even nicer bloke. Love it.

I’d wait until squad numbers are confirmed - I reckon he’ll keep 21 but remember 44 has always been his lucky number so you don’t wanna get caught out like Romero change lol.

That is fantastic business from us. Just 5 million euros every year for the next 6 years for a player of Deki's quality is insane. You would probably pay more to loan him.

Interesting to see if Ange plays his as a 10 in a 4-2-3-1 like mason was doing or if he’ll play him as a RW in a 4-3-3.
Either way hopefully now his move is permanent and now we have an attacking minded possession based coach, Deki will find his early form with us as he was absolutely unplayable for a few months when he first signed and a joy to watch.

Yeah I think OP point was purely re the value when you see the crazy sums other clubs are playing for lesser players.
