Was listening to yesterday's spurs show and they had agent Simon Dent on. Tried looking him up online, he seems like a "talent" rather than football agent. He said for past few years he's towed the party line re Enic / Levy so as not to potentially hurt business opportunities but now he doesn't bother. Said in agent circles we are a laughing stock and seen as a good opportunity to make alot of money for players that aren't good.
Obviously hard to know absolute truth behind it but given our transfer record last decade then it's certainly believable.
Also mentioned he's heard some things about Potter and that over next few days he's likely to be strongly linked.

They also were tied up by FFP so couldn’t really sign many players.
FFP issues are the one thing we don’t suffer from, it’s also likely the reason we won’t replicate the Everton and Leicester scenarios. If this starts looking really bad Levy will spend big. The problem we have is he won’t sanction the level of spending to take up to the next level.

Hopefully a proper restructuring of the footballing operations, which does look like is happening, should help.

I think people are going a bit over the top here. This season has really been a one off. It wasn't long ago back end of last season we were the 3rd best performing team over a few months. We have the same players plus more now. We would have to get it very very wrong to drop to the bottom of the table. We have far more talent than Leicester or Everton and will not have to lose key players aside from Kane in a year. I just can't see the football being worse than this season under the next manager. The issue for me is that under Levy I can't see us getting any better than 5 years ago. At best we get back into top 4. He's shown he will never push for titles because he had no better opportunity to do that with Poch.

Even if Slot appears close come Saturday and there’s something positive to hold on to we can’t take the pressure off levy.

The chants must be louder and longer than before, from minute 1 to minute 90.

Funnily enough had the opportunity to meet someone who is connected to a well known agency not too long ago and person in question was fairly disparaging about the way we operate.

I’m watching a planning presentation at work today and it seems like Daniel is now fully embedded in my subconscious…

‘The Strategic Levy spending plan’ should mean something else to me in my job but these days it just means our summer transfer budget.😂

Redknapp spot on here although Levy still needs to ultimately take the blame :
🤦‍♂️

Highlights a symptom of the disease but not the root cause. It is squarely down to the footballing decisions not being made by football people.

It's our last home game today so hopefully the crowd let him know exactly what we think of him as it's last chance this season.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

The chairman's message should be interesting
Can we assume that the words "challenging season" and "lessons learned" will be in there somewhere? I can imagine a slight passing of the buck by referring to "last summer's investment" and having expected more from Conte.

Last game of the season and 12:30 KO. No chance.

"We shall spend the period ahead of next season working relentlessly to position our Club for on-pitch success and football you will love to come and watch. Every element of the Club’s operations is geared toward delivering that."

I'll believe it when I see it Daniel!

I actually think that was pretty nice. It could have been full of excuses and the usual condescending stuff, but instead he focused on thanking those who actually deserve it.
