He's a great lad. I badly want him to be part of a good team here.

Was just looking at his Instagram. It’s his birthday by the look of it. He seems like a really nice guy, full of positive energy and ambition. He’s gonna be great for us I reckon.

How is this professional from these two plodders? They're still players in the same league, they play for two different teams.

Antonio has only scored 5 goals himself this season anyway.

I'd understand if they were retired. Which is close I suppose considering they spend more time with the physio than on the pitch.

Yeah i sort of agree, I love his passion and i'm happy with keeping him but I wouldn't be that fussed if he left ether.

However I very much doubt any decision on his future would happen before we have a new manager in place unless someone came in with a significant offer and I doubt that will be the case. I mean really, if you were looking for a striker I doubt you would go for him considering Levy would want to recoup most of what we spent and after the season he has had I dont think anyone would be paying that amount.
After Kane broke through and we let go of Soldado and Adebayor we've spent almost 6 or 7 seasons trying to find a player that could be a back up/alternative to Kane. From Llorente to Janssen to Vinicius and finally we spent a pretty penny on Richarlison. He's not played as well as he can and for me he can do better but I think we need to be patient with him. We can see the benefits of giving someone like Son more than a single season for transitioning into the goalscoring monster he became

What a flop of a signing. Almost as bad as ndombele for the money. If someone comes in for him in the summer near for what we paid for him he needs to be sold. Nobody is stupid enough to pay £60m for though except us.

At Everton I was impressed with him last season, but he has been grim playing for us. Today he seemed barely able to summon up enough energy to chase after the ball.

Not seen anything from him that tells me he will be anything other than another big money flop . Not fast , not skilful , works hard and half decent in the air but so is Shane Long .

He gets absolutely zero service, what do people expect from him & Son?

He gets a pass on this season for me. Our setup is just horrendous for players like him.

Agree with this. I was a fan of him when he was at Everton and thought a good signing. He has been underwhelming for us this season but I am prepared to cut him some slack because of our tactics and his stop start season. One thing I didnt really notice as a problem until he has been with us is that he always holds the ball for a split second or two longer than necessary... but thats down to clicking with the team and lack of consistency in playing.

I was one of the few who didn't want him but he's here now and let's see what he can do next season under a new coach. Low confidence is affecting most of our squad.

Looked like a player who'd been told he didn't have a future at the club, 5 minutes before kick off.

The service was poor no doubt about that, but so was he. When he's not getting much of the ball, he usually at least looks lively. Today you barely knew he was on the pitch. And when he was on the ball, just dwelt on it, and didn't look sharp at all.

So many of em look lost right now.

The problem is he doesn’t fit a position properly to fulfil it for us to an effective level.

As a wing forward:

1. He isn’t quick so he can’t threaten in behind teams like Son does with pace and movement.

2. He isn’t a strong technical player who can dribble past opponents and create space.

3. He isn’t a creative player so he can’t produce opportunities for others regularly.

Son has had a poor season but he has the pace and movement for a wing forward and he can beat players. Richarlison doesn’t have any of the attributes a top wing forward has to have at least 1 of.

As a striker, we have Kane for now but even if he left, Richarlison doesn’t have the touch to hold the ball up and isn’t a great finisher.

If we get a decent bid honestly we have to take it to create a better balanced team.

Get in some creativity and a coach who has dynamic attacking ideas and you'll start to see him come up with more goals at least.

He's a player who thrives on the front foot and in the penalty area.

We have so little creativity and attacking plan that anyone who is more of a runner/physical/penalty area type is gonna suffer.

He is a good player in a high pressing unit which we are way off

I’m struggling to remember a good game for us in the league. He’s stealing a living. He looks like he’s never been coached to do anything properly. Going to be another ndombele we can’t shift unless we get rid this summer.

A runner who doesn’t have pace though? What’s the point? He’s basically there to press a bit? If he’s part of a front 3 he’s got to be the striker but he’s miles off Kane’s level and wouldn’t accept being a back up striker.

If we get Slot for example, he wants 2 wing forwards who can beat players 1 on 1 and or get in behind with pace. Richarlison can’t do those things.

I don't blame him and have never thought he doesn't give his all but...

I just don't see it working. I don't see how it works. Hopefully our next manager will know how to use his skill set

If anyone came in with a 40m + offer, possibly even less , then I would snap their hand off, just not working out.

Maybe not being offside, Son and Richy spent most of the game offside.
