Slot is about to win a totally shit league and ppl making out maybe he was to be chosen above Nagelsmann…. Wake the fuck up. What ever tip 6 team hire him…. None!!!!

What absolute rubbish. Would a top-six team have hired Arteta, Howe, De Zerbi?
Perhaps we should give Jose or Conte another go

I'm in the minority in thinking Nagelsmann wasn't quite the right fit for us anyway. All the talent on paper, but probably feels we're below his station after Bayern. I'm a little disappointed, but mostly because Kompany is ruled out and I thought he was right for us. Slot is a strong back up though, and I'm comfortable with that.
I had that thought when he was first sacked by Bayern and was quite quickly linked to us. But I realised how refreshing it is to actually have a young coaching setup in our squad after seeing Mason managing us past few games. I think the players we have are really immature (and I really don't think young is the right word, they are really immature to me in mentality) and will really benefit from that with what seems like a closer gap of generation and communication.

I don't necessarily want Nagelsmann that much, but I just hope the club could at least sounded him out proper and seek his interests and views. Just meet and talk at the very least FFS.. What is there to lose? Face? We are a joke-enough of club anyway. To struck a promising coach with such calibre off without even considering (that's the impression I am getting from the mouthpiece media) shows the club culture has been so wrongly complacent all this while, and we can really see why we always struggle against lowly teams in tournaments..

Then after all these imagine Mason is appointed. What logic is that to appoint Mason and deemed Nagelsmann not capable enough for us?

At this stage might as well let AI run the club

My big issue with Slot is that because he’s relatively un known compared to Naglesmann or Enrique for example. He’s just going to be Levy’s puppet who he can get away with just stringing along as he’s happy to be here.

Earlier today i emailed the ST Renewals team asking if we will know who the manager is before 1st June.

Their reply:

“Unfortunately we aren't able to confirm this, if you wish to renew by 1 June then this is up to you.”

The club couldnt give a rats arse

He's Dutch so I don't see that happening.

Arne Slot does not excite me in any way

That is understandable but I bet Conte excited you? and look at that shit show. I bet Poch didnt excite us, and look what happened.

Sometimes we just need to be open without the expectation and just see 'how the fuck it goes'

Obviously our next manager is going to be a complete Yes Man as far as Levy is converting

Honestly wish I supported Brighton at this point, we are a dreadfuly run club and I really feel we are a long way off the worst of it

I mean genuinely what else were you expecting someone who probably has no interest in football and sat in an office to say?

Out of interest In both post you’ve mentioned first and foremost about how others will react.

why do you care?
It matters significantly because image of the club is everything. This isn't about a few Gooners or Chelsea fans talking the piss on Twatter.

We are already seen as a joke by the media and the public because of our current situation - trophy dodging despite big resources, "Spursy", having 2 world class managers fail here, constant speculation about Kane and Son needing to leave to fulfil their ambitions......I could go on......

If you don't think that other future managers and more importantly quality players who we are in the market for don't take note of all this you are mistaken. It even affects youth players - some will think twice about remaining here if its seen as a circus.

Mark my words, if Mason is appointed and then sacked, we will descend further into "clown team" territory. Which will be disgraceful given where our ambitions are supposed to be,

Have we had any ITK on the news?

A link would be highly appreciated.
Not really, no

But I can tell you this much, if anyone thinks not going for (or however it's worded) Nagelsmann isn't down to how much control Lord Lackofinches is willing to concede, they are mistaken. And any DoF will also have Levy's hand rammed firmly up his jacksey working his lips. There will be no transfer of power, no stepping back, none of that, except cosmetically. And that's IMO not based on backdoor whisperings.

Having said that, I still say wait and see how this plays out, it does seem a bit unusual to me that the club, notorious for saying nothing (not to mention doing nothing), have been this blatant. It doesn't sit right. Maybe it's a desperate tactic, who knows, time will tell.

Some of you guys need to accept that we’re not a big club. You could describe us a “top six” side, but if so we would be number six on the list (probably number seven). Why would a so called “top manager” like JN consider us anything but a step down? That’s not a sensible career move on his part.
