I wonder what Levy would do if the results in the next 5 games weren't particularly great. If for example we lost 3 and drew 2 and we dropped a few places. Would he be running around with his tail between his legs scatter gunning around Europe looking for a manager ASAP or would he stick with what we have.
I very much doubt a new manager, new tactics and System would do any better tbh. Season is a right off

If we end up with someone else who plays Jose/Conte style football (ie boring/soul destroying), think that’ll be me done with spurs for a while. I almost hope thats the case so I can get some of my free time back
I know the feeling. Didn't we get into this for enjoyment purposes? 🤨

He's just been sacked. He might want some me time. These people are human let's not forget. Plus in the mean time the Real job might come up. Why wouldn't he be interested in talking to them too and taking time to see what's best for himself? We all would
But the point is, if he is open to coming, as the report says, then that implies to me that he would come if asked. Doesn't mean he will start right away. If he doesn't want to commit to anything at the moment then thats fair enough, personally I wouldn't if i was him and i'd be surprised if he did, but going of the report which is (why I put IF in caps) it suggest he would be open to coming thus why I said, if thats the case, we have to get it tied up asap regardless when he joins. Surely if he wanted some time the report would be "JN wants time to asses his option before committing to anyone". Just depends how on point the report is.

Wow, they're really going to increase ticket prices?!

I'm already priced out but to those who can still afford to go how do you feel and at what stage would you say 'no thanks, too much'

There is really, they’re going to put season tickets up fucking loads!

Daniel Levy will start work on finding Tottenham Hotspur’s next permanent manager immediately with Julian Nagelsmann at the top of his list of targets, but the club’s chairman faces more problems and the threat of further fan anger.
Telegraph Sport understands that Tottenham are considering announcing a price rise to season tickets at a time when the faith of supporters is being tested again and many are being hit by the cost of living crisis.
There is also growing doubt over the future of managing director of football Fabio Paratici and there is currently no sign of striker Harry Kane renewing his contract, which will have one year left on it at the end of the season.
It adds up to a crucial period for Levy, who is looking to hire his 12th permanent manager in 22 years - prompting the club’s supporters’ trust to call on the board to share their strategy for the future.
Nagelsmann heads up Tottenham’s list of candidates to permanently replace Antonio Conte, whose exit was confirmed on Sunday night, with Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou and Luis Enrique also understood to be among those who feature prominently.
Nagelsmann is out of work after being sacked by Bayern Munich and is said to be open to an approach from Spurs, although reports in Germany have claimed that Bayern would be due compensation were the 35-year-old to accept a new job before the end of the season.
As reported by Telegraph Sport, Nagelsmann is said to have a strong affinity for Tottenham and even owned a club replica shirt but the German could also find himself on the radar of Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Tottenham want to talk to Nagelsmann, while Levy will also immediately start making background checks on the other potential candidates for the full-time Spurs job, having put Conte’s number two, Cristian Stellini, and Ryan Mason in interim charge.
Stellini and Mason suffered an early blow ahead of the return of Tottenham’s players from international duty on Tuesday, as it emerged that right wing-back Emerson Royal requires surgery after damaging his knee while playing for Brazil. Left-sided defender Ben Davies was last week ruled out for four to six weeks with a hamstring injury.
Levy may have to lead the hunt for the next manager as doubt grows over the future of managing director of football Paratici, who sources have noted was conspicuous by his absence in the statement confirming the exit of Conte.
Paratici has been far less visible since being hit with a ban in Italy as part of an investigation into alleged malpractice at Juventus and has mainly watched matches from the directors’ box, rather than from behind the dug-out.
The uncertainty surrounding Paratici could be further complicated by an Italian court case that has been postponed until May 10. The preliminary hearing of a criminal investigation into the capital gains and salary manoeuvres of Juventus and individuals who worked at the club, in which Paratici has been named among the defendants, started on Monday but was almost immediately put back by just over six weeks.

That leaves question marks hanging over Paratici and sources believe it is becoming increasingly likely that he will leave Tottenham at the end of the season.

Spurs are yet to announce their season ticket prices for next season, having frozen prices last year, and the club have pointed out there has been no confirmation of an increase as yet.

Telegraph Sport has been told that consideration has been given to announcing a sizable price increase for season tickets, which are already among the most expensive in the Premier League. Such a move would provoke anger from fans who have not seen the club lift a trophy for 15 years.

Tottenham’s London rivals Chelsea faced a backlash over proposed price increases last year, forcing them to row back on some plans, and the club’s supporters’ trust has already appealed to the owners not to increase prices this year amid the cost of living crisis.

With the future of Tottenham’s all-time record scorer Kane also in doubt, Levy has been challenged to share his and the club’s vision for the future with supporters.

Following confirmation of Conte’s exit, the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust released a statement that said: “The club’s board must now have a clear strategy for what and who comes next, and it needs to tell this club's supporters what that plan is. THST (Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust) has repeatedly called for this, and fans deserve it.

“Less than two years ago, at the end of the 2020/21 season in May, chairman Daniel Levy told supporters the club would focus on the recruitment of a head coach saying they were 'acutely aware of the need to select someone whose values reflect those of our great club and a return to playing football with the style for which we are known'.

“Many supporters will feel the appointments of Nuno Espirito Santo and then Antonio Conte following Jose Mourinho's spell do not reflect the promises made above.

“In the same statement, Mr Levy said ‘I feel we lost sight of some key priorities and what's truly in our DNA’.

“As another season without silverware comes to an end, we would urge the club board to reassess those priorities before appointing a manager the entire fanbase will get behind, and building a team that can truly challenge for domestic and European honours, respecting the traditions of our football club.”

Levy is to reading the room what Helen Keller was to Trainspotting.

No but if the season is a write off surely you get the manager in now and let them assess the squad so you can start making plans for next season.

Open to talking and signing are different things though. Plus these journalists just guess in most cases.

Let's go with what we know. We've appointed caretakers until the summer. This says to me he's not available yet as if he is our choice and would sign now he'd be our manager now.

The Paratici stuff is a bummer as I think his recruitment is top notch and Nagelsmann working and integrating young players could work out so well.
I'm not sure Paratici and Nagelsmann will be a good fit. I think Paratici has done well but he doesn't really build towards a particular system or style of football. Hopefully we can make the most of the young signings he made and get a new director with an attacking philosophy who is on the same page as the manager.

Here's a question, if Stellini and Mason win 7 out of 10 games, with players that a lot of people here and Conte said are not good enough, then should they be given a go full-time?

If the club is raising the already too high ticket prices after the absolute shambles of a season then they view us as mugs.

Our loyal fanbase nothing but a bunch of mugs. Doesn’t sit right. If the club want to be a shitshow then price it as such.

That's under the impression we know who we want for a starter!

Then we need to know if they want us, or wait for a better option in the summer first before thinking about us...... We all know real, Chelsea ect jobs will probably be up for grabs so managers will wait for them, then we get to pick up the scraps.

If I were in Nagelsmann's shoes I'd probably be interested to take over but only commit to it if the team finish in the top four. Otherwise Kane will probably leave and other clubs in the league have greater pulling power than us. Spurs in the top four will still be a rebuild job but the advantage of being in the UCL makes it easier.

To late to leave it till summer. If he doesn’t commit now for now or the summer we have to move on. We can’t end up losing all our targets to be left with Frank Lampard by the end of it.

if I were in nagelsmanns shoes id honestly be waiting for a better offer. The only thing we guarantee is failure albeit in a nice stadium. Levy’s got a tough sell on his hands, probably the equivalent of trying to get £25m for perisic. Not being negative but we need an up and comer, not someone who is already established cos we just ruin those types.
