This does raises an interesting question. Would it be bad practice to having meetings with potential replacements when Conte is still in charge and hypothetically (even tho we know it’s very very unlikely) could still sign an extension. I’m sure we would sound out targets, we would be amiss not to, but having face to face meetings feels more advanced. I guess it’s a bit of an odd situation as Conte’s contract runs out in a few months so currently there will be a job vacancy. It would be great if we did meet with him whilst he was here, it would probably make sense all things considered, assuming we are interested.

Lot of the comments and French reports say he is in line for the PSG job...

Used to play for the club.

Balanced football, not really defensive but not really attacking. Has elements of both. Not having a great season but is a good coach. Would probably not be that hard of a transition from what we are playing now but is certainly more fluid. Personally I would prefer someone more attacking but I wouldn’t be against him. I’m sure @rossdapep will give a more detailed tactical description as he’s a fan.
I would prefer Gallardo as I believe we could really do with a coach who is going to try to dominate teams.

But Amorim is probably a little more pragmatic. He has approached big games with a more compact approach but he does still require his team to attack with numbers.

This is a good article that provides some story and data.

So as it turns out, Fonseca isn't a bad coach after all.

I remember two years ago, I was quite excited by the Fonseca links. A&C brushed that opinion off as mental gymnastics. I found that insulting and belittling.

I was very, very close to leaving the site that summer, as the negativity and lack of room for differing opinions was getting out of hand.

I'm still here, and frankly, it's even worse now. It's not just SC, to be fair, the entire fan base has become awfully toxic, and it's driving me away from the club. The shit football is playing a large part too, of course, but being a football fan is mostly about unity and being part of something bigger. And I just don't feel that at the moment.

Sorry for that off topic rant, but I wanted to get it out. Don't be a twat just because someone has a different opinion.

Burnley just been placed under a transfer embargo due to late filing of accounts. Running away with league but everything can't be great behind scenes for that to happen. Personal opinion I can't see Kompany being high on our list but who knows with levy

I don't dislike Amorim, but 20 million euros is a lot of money. Especially when there are arguably better managers available for free.

I'd like Lampard. Did a good job at Derby, did a fine job at Chelsea bringing their young players through. Only started struggling when the board gave him money to spend. Match made in heaven for Levy. Not even any compensation to pay.

Don't let the bellends drive you away, especially those who insult and belittle you.

Ali Gold said Fonseca was on Hitchen AND Paratici's lists.

Cant remember for sure but something like

Paratici list was something like Conte, Gattuso, Spaletti, Fonseca

Hitchen list was Poch, Ten Hag, Flick, Rangnick & Fonseca
Two fairly ok lists. How did we end up with Nuno then 😂

Apparently due to changing their auditors late on in the year and accounts should be filed and ban lifted next month, so if true probably not much to read into that.

I mentioned him the other day, the job he’s done is quite remarkable for such an inexperienced manager

Ultimately I think it's levys choice, can't see paratici being here next season anyway
Think Fonseca ball would’ve suited us really nicely , I doubt we’ll go for him whilst we still have Paratici given he pulled the plug on him so last minute but if no Paratici around next season then possibly we could go back. I’d probably prefer him to Poch just for a fresh start but we’d need to bring reggy back or sign a LB and for sure sign a top CB as this football would be higher risk with a higher line, would love to see it though. :)

Here are his tactics, would be very easy on the eye much closer to Pochball.
