Its interesting, Luis Enrique is a big name but I wouldn't call him a win now manager.

He isnt like Conte or Mourinho who would come in with this amazing CV and history of winning, I would expect a long term project with him
No one is a win now manager when they manage us

Id love a young project manager that plays attractive, high energy football. Someone who’s with us for 5+ years and can build something.

The real issue is Levy. He needs to take a backseat from all footballing decisions.
We had been led to believe that he had. I can't see him ever letting go.

Completely agree. It's just that quite a few actively wanted Gerrard before he went to Villa. He was very inexperienced though and I don't know anything much about Postecoglou.
Iirc, a lot of people were saying that Gerard was not much more than a cheerleader and hype man, with the main coaching and tactical nous coming from his staff, mostly his No.2.

Big Ange might be the one you know.

He's just got the aura of a Tottenham manager (a good one) - can't really explain it haha

Don’t think it’s fair (although it’s understandable) to compare Postecoglou to Gerrard. Gerrard didn’t fail at Villa because he only had SPL experience: he failed because the brains of the operation left, and also because Gerrard has the slight issue of being a massive arsehole.

Asking Steve Cooper and Thomas Frank if they are gonna take the Spurs job as if they are gonna turn around and say "Yeah, I'm interested" or "Yeah Levy called me last night and we are discussing the role."

How brain-dead do you have to be?

You're surely not serious about us using Winks and Lo Celso ever again
Winks no but Lo Celso is a good player. Better outcome if he can actually be of use to us rather than rotting out in loan, no-one outside the PL/very biggest clubs in the world has any money to buy him anyway.

We need at least 2 creative midfielders in the squad if we’re going to do 433/4231 really. Lo Celso as back up to Maddison wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

Is he the Steven Gerrard of the current manager chase iteration?
I don't think so, Big Ange seems to get quite a lot of respect in the game and from pundits, so seems to have something about him.
Steve G was a great player but like Fat Frank, doesn't have the personality (or dare I say intelligence) to be a top manager these days.

I think many people fell for the hype over Gerrard, which was mainly built by the staff he had around him. I'd not heard much about anything groundbreaking or special about his coaching methods, in fact, I don't remember hearing much at all about his methods.
I have heard good things said about Postecoglu though and whether he'd work or not for us, he does actually seem to be a good coach.

I don't follow any coach particularly closely but at the moment, I'd probably rather take a punt on Postecoglu than Enrique, who I'm not at all convinced about.
Ange seems to have the personality that the fans could get behind too, a bit like BMJ.

Interestingly some of the names coming out today actually make sense.
I know what you mean but my first thought was so literal. Like you expected them to have silly names like John Owngoalsaregood or Mikey Matchfixer, or just a series of asterisks and exclamation marks like when people swore in the Beano

Merely casting my eye over the latest odds and a few names strike me (on the basis I know very little about them);
William Still - 16/1 (Riems manager and FM player cum real life head coach)
Kjetil Knutsen - 20/1 (Bodo/Glimt)

Either worthy of interest or just making the numbers up?

I'm getting BMJ vibes from him and because of that, I'm seriously considering nailing my colours to his mast for this latest manager hunt debacle! 😁

He sounds brilliant but we have just spent 40 million quid on a wing back and have another 25 million pound wing back coming, both of whom would be totally obsolete in his system according to that video
Kyle Walker was able to adjust from an attacking wingback with us to play pep ball
