If it is Poch. (I’d be surprised if it’s not) Hopefully Levy will want a DoF to try and avoid another Lo Celso and N’dombele and Poch will want a DoF to avoid the long drawn out negotiations of Levy.

The same NDombele that we were all super excited by as a statement signing. Go look at the poster thread at the beginning. He was superb the season before we signed him. GLC also had a great season. Poch got 3 months with them and they were both injured in that time.

Under poch if he is the new manager what do we need to sign to make it work?

2x cbs who can play in a 2, 1 being a LCB ball playing and 1 being who can play both.
A Gk as Lloris going. Ideally a young English bsck up gk.
A 10, as we don’t have a 10, ideally Maddison,

Provided He is happy with Gil, Danjuma, then we can have enough cover in the forwards.
Cm I think we are fine,

We will need to obviously make calls on a number of players out on loan.
Rodon, not good enough
Regs, is he better than sess? Would poch want him.
Lo celso, ndombele, can one of them cover 10?
Spence, can he play RB,
Udogie can play Lb
Porro can he play RB, or maybe change to a creative RF?
Winks, not good enough or needed.

Squad players would need to make calls on,
Tanganga, not enough
Sanchez not good enough,
Davies no place in the side now,
Lenglet not in a back 4,
Dier, doubt he’ll be moved on but has to be back up.

Would still need a lot of surgery

Lloris - agree
Dier - what makes you believe he will be upgraded when he's needed upgrading for about 3 seasons and we failed to upgrade last summer and this January when we clearly needed to? The club basically baulked at the price of an upgrade and signed one CB on loan in both windows?
Davies - nowhere near good enough as a LB or back up LB in a 4 anymore. Remember Nunos last game?
Sanchez - has needed to go since he arrived.

I doubt anyone on loan is gone straight away for a number of reasons including what I've said above but also because we'll be asking for silly money and their wages are silly as well.
We clearly prioritised signing a CB but ended up spending big in other positions instead when we couldn't get our top targets like Bastoni or Bremer over the line. If one of those two had been willing to come I'm sure we would've signed them and pushed back other signings (Udogie?) to later.

I know we're a joke of a club at times but there's no way we're not signing a CB this summer now that we've upgraded most other priority positions. Especially if the new manager wants to play with a back 4.

No he wasn’t. Ndombele had a couple of excellent games in the champions league and in the league but was awful in numerous games and had the same deficiencies in the average game as he has still now for Napoli.
Ndombele is just never going to make it in the prem, poch coming back will not change that.

Passed on behind the scenes a couple of weeks back but was told Conte will be leaving. Was same source who gave me the initial info about Conte coming to us and the Bale info re retiring and trying his hand at golf.

He was absolutely adamant that Conte would be leaving.
THIS ?

I am feeling more and more resigned to Poch coming back. For me personally, I'd welcome it. He gave me some of the best moments as a Spurs fan. Yes we didn't win anything, but we were close on multiple occasions and we played some great stuff. I know many, including myself, remember how poor it was at the end (CL run to the final aside). However, that shouldn't override how good we were for a far longer period under him.

Bring him home.

Again i don't agree re Davies.
The guy is happy being backup and a solid one at that.
Agree with Sanchez.
Have no idea what Dier is on but needs to move down a step if he cannot accept second choice.

But he’s not solid at all in a 2. He cannot play CB in a 2 and does not suit being a flying LB in poch system.

I’m really believe poch was burnt out by the time he left s as me needed a good rest snd recharge. He’s had that do I’d be happy to give him another go.
Tuchel probably makes more sense though given our squad, and he supposedly wants the job.
Heart says poch head says tuchel
Give your head a wobble! ?

He’d be a disaster and would fall out with Levy within a week.

It’s not Poch coming back that I’m worried about, it’s Poch coming back and managing 8 or 9 of the same players who didn’t show up for him two years ago. All those existing resentments will linger under the surface and once results start slipping that will resurface and spread through the rest of the squad. I’m not against Poch coming back but we MUST move on the likes of Dier, Davies, Winks, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Lloris in the next window.
We need to move them on anyway

The same Lo Celso that was key to Argentina prior to the WC? I wouldn't mind. Helps if we don't try to play him as a ball winning midfielder.
If Poch came in I’d be very surprised if he didn’t give Gio another chance considering how little time he had with him before he got sacked.
