Porro is too nice to Sporting. He should do what Caicedo did (skipped training), instead of honoring them. They abuse him.

Wait and see the Spurs comms when this fails and we don't sign anyone.
It be we tried everything but all Sporting fault not ours. We tried to renegotiate to make deal happen last 2 days but that took a our resources and time which meant we had no time to buy other players like Zaniolo a cb or even an alternative rwb.
Usual shit and we all fall for it yet again. Always bad luck never Levy fuck me I'm drained by this club under ENIC!

If we get this over the line, maybe we'll get a "here we go again" from Romano. That would be a new one, right? ?
I don't follow the guy as closely as others, how often do his here we go's end up not coming off?

Would be typical of us to be the first.

Always thought it was weird he played the final if the transfer was that close to being finalised.

Had a bad feeling about it

You screw around for a month you hand the power to the seller. Still feel this probably gets done but we could have got it done before and be looking at other targets like a CB.

All our energy on deadline day could now be on Porro instead of sorting out another position. This is not how a club should be run. Yes Sporting are the bad guys but we put them in the position to be that. The way we operate is outdated and quite frankly tiring.

Personal opinion
This will get done..
Sporting know levy under pressure, they are sucking more out of him.
He fucks this up the fans won't care in the stadium whose fault it was.

Levy knows that the stadium will be horrific Sunday if Porro doesn't sign.

And so do sporting

fucking hate Sporting!

do we even have an alternative to Porro?

can't blame Levy for this one, paying 45mil in a single installment isn't as easy as it sounds. we have cash flow, however we don't have reserves I believe

While they continue to attempt to loan in Bellerin, I remain optimistic. It's possible they just want him in before they tell fans that Porro is definitely off.

Semra Hunter La Liga TV, just reported nothing concrete for Bellerin as of yet, highlighted more of a hope at the moment.

On what basis is this true. You have no idea if that’s true.

I am no fan of Levy but we can never know if Sporting all along wanted Porro to play in the tournament for as far as possible. There are 1001 things Levy can be blamed for but at this moment, Sporting is the annoying fucker.

agreed but at the same time it’s one of countless important deals we have failed to close over the years

each time the seller is trying to maximise the value of their asset that they are reluctant to sell.

we simply struggle to close any deal without an odd contractual situation to be exploited for an immediate first 11 player where there is any sense we might need to pay a premium

Still think we get him. They're close to getting bellerin.

Another example though of our stupid transfer method of doing "big" deals right up until deadline.

Let's wait and see what happens

There are still 38 hours until the window closes
Lots can and will probably happen in those hours

Hopefully positively for us

Until then I'm keeping my pitchfork locked away
