meanwhile, arsenal is the *YOUNGEST* team in the EPL, a number of their players were bought for a song -- martinelli bought for 6mil! -- and arteta has them playing with purpose and drive

we have all these vaunted, experienced, EXPENSIVE players and we don't have a single CLUE how to play

Yes they are. I don't understand how you can watch some of the players and not see that.
A squad that contains the likes of Lloris, Romero, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Son, Kane, Kulusevski etc is not shit by any definition.

People can keep saying “oh we have injuries, we can’t cope.” Bull. Shit. We’ve been this bad all season even with a clean bill of health. It’s the manager.

He must be pulling out his weave watching them play so insipidly and shitting all over his tactics. This didn't happen at Inter, Juve and Chelsea because he had lots of players with half a brain. Here he's got barely a handful.

That’s harsh, he’s on his own surrounded by 4 defenders with no teammates within a mile
Agree but I still think he should be staying higher up the pitch and occupying some defenders, we now have 10 players in our half against us who are building pressure.

Thing is if we get rid of Conte and keep this same set of players it'll be rinse and repeat until they retire. It was the same under Nuno, Jose, and Poch. Need a total clear out of those players that haven't performed consistently for years. Dier, Davies, Moura, Sanchez, even Hugo etc. When the pressure is on the they struggle and mistakes follow. They've all had purple patches but none of them have improved since the CL final.
Completely agree yet we are giving dier a new contract and Davies already signed one

Marseille are not even that good
Problem is, neither are we (well at least this season anyway). The starkest of contrasts from Conte's team from last season, to this season's Conte's team. I've said it before, but this bunch of players can't play a deep defensive line and soak up pressure in the hope we can counter. Look at the second half against Bournemouth, we were miles better playing on the front foot.

Harry as well? As him dropping deep doesn’t help
He's dropping deeper because it's the only way he gets the ball. We are negative because there is no trust at the back, and the rest of the side drop deep to try and compensate.

Been saying it for years now.

When the going gets tough, the same faces wilt.

It's not rocket science that these players need shifting and the calibre of Bentancur, Kulusevski brought in in their place if we are to progress for success on the pitch.

Dier
Davies
Sessegnon
Hojbjerg
Perisic (so far)
Emerson
Doherty

This lot would not get into any of our rivals first 11.

Of course its the fucking players

You may laugh but we really miss Emerson's energy.

He creates space for others just by his running alone.

What's he supposed to do with no service, or support?
How long till this argument can bail him out? Most forwards at least harass the defenders and press. Is he even doing that. Laughable. Perhaps Kane is only discussed after matches. So some of you, just watch the movement of Kane later in the 2nd half, since Son is now off to be observed and being criticised, and then see if he's absolved of all blame as a forward with his jogging pace and non-existent pressing. Then, at the WC watch his England games and compare with ours again, see how driven he will be then..

Of course I will be glad to be proven wrong, and really that's the best thing that can happen.

Shocking from a team 3rd in the prem, we should be blowing these teams away. No fight, no aggression, all staring at the grass.

I think we all saw this coming.

FFS as it stands we don’t even get knocked out of Europe completely. That’s even worse.

Come on Frankfurt.
