Not picking on you but was expecting a post of this ilk tonight.

After every defeat I stick around and try and reiterate the same points in a hope that it will give everyone a bit of calm and perspective. Doesn't matter what I say really another defeat or a media story that's taken out of context and someone else will ask a similar question.

Not doing any of it anymore mate, it just isn't worth it.
Respect your patience!

I’m with you completely in accepting this is just where we are at the moment. We just need to grin and bear it for the next dozen games. It’s frustrating but seems completely pointless to get too overly worked up over the same deficiencies that we keep seeing. If we see it, Conte and Paratici most definitely do.

Missed the game could somebody be kind enough to offer a fair assessment?

My WhatsApp groups saying we deserved to win but for Ronaldo.
You get what you deserve. Three very poor defensive situations and a very poor final ball + our conversion rate from chances created is also one of the worst in the league

Bout right. Can I ask your WhatsApp group neutrals, or at least non SC members?
2 x United fans , Huddersfield fan and my dad (Tottenham).

My bro is a United fan and he's very reluctant to praise their team cause he dislikes so many of their players but he didn't say Spurs deserved it so I wasn't sure if the other's assessment was fair.

How about the strategy? Were we on the front foot?

1) Forgot to mark Ronaldo 3 times
2) Son fell over a lot
3) Reguilon achieved Sissoko gold standard in abysmal ball control
4) Reguilon forgot the offside rule
5) Reguilon forgot how to cross
6) Dier reverted to turning his back when the attacker was about to shoot
7) Bentancur was dreadful
8) We were mentally weak (shock horror)
9) We created several very good opportunities but let ourselves down with poor decision making and ball control
10) Kulusevski played well until Conte despicably took him off for Moura
11) Ref was shit

Like watching us years back game was their for taking but players didn't turn up and let Ronnie get the hero.... he took his goals well but against 90% of prem that wouldn't happen... just check how many hat tricks he got since back? We have so many problems and as we know and hope we have to wait for summer to try and sort but it's massive when u need at least 6/7 first team players

Just gutted that Arsenal are going to get top 4.

Someone tell me it won’t allow them to kick on and create a quality side, I hate the thought of them back to being good again

Typical they finally have a hard game midweek against Liverpool and salah went off today with an injury.

Thanks, mate. It does sound frustrating.

The positive I would add is may not take that many, we need a couple of strong players mentally, Son needs a rest and 4 roles can be improved.

We do desperately need to rid ourselves of this loser mentality.

Both times we equalised

We were average today, but they were a lot worse, especially bar Ronaldo.

I think it’s more frustrating than anything tonight, we just didn’t seem to believe we could go on and win that but it was there for the taking so much!!

Totally see this different.
We played well by the view of some of our fans, but in my view purely because they allowed us the ball when they were ahead
We spent the vast majority of the match chasing the game. The 3 times they were level it took them 12, 3 and 8 minutes to score.
Seriously we had 3 shots on target, a penalty, a Hojbjerg along the ground from 25 yards shot and a soft Dier header. Second half we didn't have a shot on target, they had 6.
We scored with an own goal (which likely would have been ruled out if had gone through to Romero) and a penalty for a handball offence that was equal to one they had ruled out for (VAR would go with referee on both instances).

Basically we can beat teams that allow us space behind, and really not much else at the moment.

It hurts to know the Gooners will finish above us after this I'm afraid. Do seem cursed against Utd could have done with them being down to 10 men again for that 6-1! Ronaldo is one player who has the ability to do what he did. However our tendency to gift wrap goals never seems to end. Son was poor tonight slipping over endless times didn't help.

Roy Keane's prediction was right and in our 'DNA' never seems to shift. Conte pointing his two fingers at his head after equalising was a sign ignored and it just baffles me what can be done to change this mentality. Got one of the world's best managers and still 'Spursy' quick grab some Chelski players from a fire sale hopefully in the summer lol.

It's frustrating how many goals we concede that are due to stupid mistakes rather than the opposition doing something brilliant. Ronaldo's first goal today seems like one of the first for a long time where we haven't just gifted a goal.

I think you do calm most in here but I think the main concern with “the summer” is fans really believe we will not be able to attract top players if we’re not in the CL

Agree son needs a rest, we rely too much on and same with kane... impressed with kulu definitely looks a player but less so with bentancur he's going backwards... but yes u can see better players will improve rest but we need a few... just now someone said Ronaldo was good but I can't help thinking we made him look good... which is us in the 90's

Was so annoyed with the commentators, ‘Man Utd have only goal in 151 corners’ shut up the fuck up, now we know how they’re going to score, ‘Ronoldo only needs a goal to match the record’ shut the fuck up, now we know who’s going to score, ‘Ronaldo only needs one more goal to beat the revord’ shut the fuck up, now we know who’s going to score again…. Just fucking annoyance after annoyance
