Does tomorrow’s match really matter in the grand scheme of things! We should win convincingly. Playing a team 5th in Slovenian League.

A win against a team we should comfortable be beating doesn’t change anything! Especially if we don’t win on Sunday or against Newcastle.
Yes tomorrows match in the ECL is fairly meaningless although sure any positive signs in terms of a change of style or performance are always welcome but the Villa game is really the one that matters now.

I always find it funny that SC is the most harmonious when things are going to shit and it's near impossible to disagree, I've read a fair bit today and I'm seeing very little arguments or bickering. I reckon it's because when there's little way to spin things positively that people are actually allowed to express their opinions even if perceived negative without being talked down to. It's actually healthier this way in my opinion.
So true mate, it feels like we are all united right now and at the end of the day we just want the best for the club and we can see when enough is enough and we are going down a bad path.

Tomorrows match is very much must win, I'd have thought. Although winning won't change much especially if we don't take at least 2 points from Newcastle & Villa.

Crazy, if you take aside the things Gattuso has supposedly said or done in his past or that we know he's done with squaring up to Joe Jordan, as purely a managerial appointment he'd have actually been stylistically slightly more of a fit than Nuno although Fonseca would've been even more so what we were looking for in terms of 'Spurs DNA' attacking free flowing football.

it’s incredibly concerning.

Paratici has had a mare, targeting Gattuso and then Nuno. Why do we need to be careful about Nuno because of Paratici? This is a guy who didn’t work for the club more than three months ago and now we are bottom of all stats and getting battered by our rivals with shite football. Quite literally fk him.

TBH i find this just as concerning, what on earth could FB have said to Levy to make him think he was a good idea. Why would FB think he would be a good choice. I guess he did pick Pirlo for Juve. i mentioned in another thread that FB is a fantastic scout and clearly a very good negotiator just not a good DoF, if only we could keep him out of the management decisions. I guess at least we know he's a good negotiator, but as you said before, if we were to sack Nuno, who would FB pick next! Seriously concerning, I can understand there is an element of better the devil you know.
All so spot on.

Tbh with Nuno unless anyone knows otherwise, I doubt that he was actually one of FP's original high up choices. The reality is probably more that it was very very late in the day, we'd either turned down or been turned down by multiple targets, we'd gotten very close with Conte and then agreed everything with Fonseca only for FP to vito that and say he wants Gattuso who was available at that time so that was doable, then the fans put a stop to that and time was running out so Nuno came up as a potential option who knows the league and is available and Paratici thought he'd rather someone who plays a 'solid, balanaced' brand of football and knows the league than Fonseca who he either had a previous run-in with or who he didn't rate.

I just can't see FP coming into the role and with all the connections and experience he has mainly in Serie A saying "I want us to get Nuno Espirito Santo, the guy who got Wolves 2x 7th placed finishes".

Not so sure now he's experienced a prestige job and we are in freefall towards complete mediocriry
The longer he’s at PSG, the more likely he becomes settled as well unfortunately.

If Poch tastes success at PSG he might decide he wants to build the dynasty he talked about with us, in Paris. ?

To be honest i am dreading the next few weeks of football - the first thing Nuno will do is to try to stop us shipping 3 goals a game - more defensive less creativity and counter attacks - i expect a few 1-0s either way.

even if the results improve i doubt the performances will and so the atmosphere amongst the supporters will get more and more downcast - i cant see a future for Nuno‘s style of football here and he has shown he cant change it with on pitch success

the result is he is on a long dead walk and that is going to be depressing and disheartening for us all

Tomorrow isn't much. For me, the trip's anticipated highlight is the awesome fries served by my pre-game chicken joint of choice.

Awesome fries, 12 chicken nuggets, can of Coke, pre-game smoke - all good!

It won't go on til the end of the season because the players won't have it. They already looks unhappy. If Nuno tries to have us play out the season whilst taking no shots, having no possession and getting dominated by everyone then there is going to be a mutiny. Even Palace declined to go down this road. They'd seen enough anti-football under Roy and undeniably Nuno is ten times worse.

Poch isn't coming back anytime soon, just don't do it to yourselves. Don't even entertain the thought of 'Arry, charging back over the hill to ride to the rescue. It's just a non starter, anyone thinking otherwise, should probably think about finding another team. Spurs are not for you.

I know they are minnows in European terms but tomorrow it will be very interesting to see the reaction. If we don’t put them convincingly to the sword then we will know the players are having doubts. Up till now I’ve thought he hasn’t lost the dressing room and Hugo’s words yesterday confirmed that. Tomorrow may we’ll prove that or not.

I'm not sure what people want or expect him to say in response to the questions asked.

It’s been well documented from his time at Wolves this is what he’s like in press conferences. He really treats them with disdain. Poch did too most of the time too let’s not forget.
