I can understand Kane to be honest.
How can you get motivated for this tournament when your ability should mean you are playing CL football?
We can't say that he shouldn't be turning his nose up at this. I mean, he made his name in the EL and you should move up in your career and closer to titles/elite games....not further away.
You folks really need a bit of context.
We're playing a champions League team who just spent £70m on new transfers whilst having several players unavailable, two players go off injured.
We had close to 60% possession, which is what all the football connoisseurs were asking for. We had 10 shots and we drew the match against arguably one of the competition's other favourites.
This place is literally an echo chamber of despair each post looking to outdo the last in trying to sound more miserable and dejected. Perspective!!!! We've got a season tally of P7 W4 D1 L2 in all competitions. Considering the number of squad disruptions we've had that's not bad. Yes we lost to a team we should have beat, but we also beat a team we should have lost to. That's football.
Can we have two separate threads for those that just want to moan and those that want to have reasoned discussion
Just imagine what he feels like watching Grealish make his debut in the CL and having the time of his life. Kane would score 6 goals a game in that side. He must feel absolutely gutted. If I was in his shoes I'd be feeling really low about my club football at the moment no doubt. We are going absolutely nowhere and IF by a miracle we do manage to turn it around and start improving again, he will be 31 and in the twilight of his career before we get competitive and close to CL football again.
Invisible.
A season tally of P7 W4 D1 L2 means nothing
PEH’s interview after was interesting when they asked about how it’s going under Nuno and he hesitated and didn’t sound all too convinced or excited tbh. Mabye reading too much into it but tbh I agree with your points anywaysA season tally of P7 W4 D1 L2 means nothing when you look at the context of how those points were accumulated. We look rubbish and to me it already looks like the players aren't feeling it under this coach, seen the signs before. I'm calling it now, this will be one of the shortest reigns as a Spurs manager ever. Levy didn't want Nuno in the first place apparently, had to be convinced, when Levy sees the crowd turn he will be áha I told you so', he will shit himself and Paratici will pull the trigger.
Furthermore, Kane's output this season will drop off considerably this season, in part because of last summer, but also because of our turgid style of play. The only thing that propped us up last season were Kane and Son and they won't have another season like last one. = us well down in midtable.
This idea that Nuno needs time to implement his ideas, nah, top coaches make immediate impacts. Even Benitez has Everton playing with a bit of swagger. If Nuno couldn't have got it right when we had the whole pre-season, how will he get it right when games are twice a week?
This idea that we give him 6 months and all of a sudden we will be playing free flowing attacking football, I just don't see it. Even Son and Kane look shite under Nuno, so he's even worse than Jose. By this time last season Kane and Son were on about 10 goals and assist between them.
Maybe you have been on a long holiday or something but we have actually won 3 out of 4 games already, including against last seasons PL champions. If you haven't been on a long holiday, my apologies, but I suggest maybe now is the right time.Really don't think it's exaggerating to suggest we could be dragged into a relegation battle this season. It has all the hallmarks of it. Squad in chaos. Best player desperate to leave. Injury crisis already. South American players away for the best part of the next 5 months. Manager serving up horrible football meaning the atmosphere in the stadium will turn quickly toxic. No goals in the side. No creativity at all, barely even created a chance this season. No part of the side is functioning even adequately. Zero strength in depth. Confidence already shattered....
There's no game I would be confident of winning. Certainly not a Premier League game. We are in serious trouble.
Hmm that’s not so promising but thanks for the info mate. Still a young raw talent and hard to play well if the team isn’t playing well and tricky away tie.I have only been able to dip in and out of the match, but I have hardly seen him.
Touch hasn't been great, and I haven't seen him try and take anyone on
This can’t be serious surely?Really don't think it's exaggerating to suggest we could be dragged into a relegation battle this season. It has all the hallmarks of it. Squad in chaos. It means four wins and a draw from seven matches with one of those losses being the academy team plus Lo Celso and the other being with 10 men and our 5th choice CBs.
Are you seriously suggesting he should be sacked with the results he's achieved achieved so far? You've written a lot without actually saying it explicitly. Is that your position?

No, my position is I can already see how this is going to go. He won't work out, the club and fans will waste a season finding that out and he will be sacked at some point in the next 6 months.
