I feel like City are stupid, the least they could do is leak fake interests in other players to show they are not desperate for Kane. Levy obviously knows they're desperate for him hence why hes not probably budging

Well played.

From a hero for a generation of Spurs fans to just a step up from Sol.

That’s some achievement that. Why Charlie is worth the big bucks.

Got to wonder how the rest of the squad feels with all this "I have to leave to win trophies" nonsense. Basically says to them he doesn't think they're good enough.

He's one of our own, He's one of our own.

Daniel Levy is one of our own.

I'd love this to ring out just to let Harry know,

Levy's working for us you're working against us. We all see it.

Dear Lord no.

he’d take it as an endorsement for the shite appointments, Saha and Nelsen, Mourinho (the whole fucking thing), the first team to not make a purchase in the transfer window, the recent shit show of a manager hunt and the chain of events that lead to Kane wanting to leave.

Sure. Digging his heels and ensuring we get top dollar for Kane is good but it would be worthy of hero worship if he’d embarked on the rebuild when it was called for.

I am sure the neg reps will flow freely ?

It's just so bizarre City went for Grealish...they needed Kane far more.

Had they focused on Kane and got serious with the bidding this would of been done and dusted.

“But, the gentleman’s agreement? Have you no morals, man? What does a man have if they don’t have their word? We shall settle this with a duel.”

Perhaps Harry Kane is just a time traveler from 1825.

I demand satisfaction, sir!

Nonsense. In 10 years it only appears 5 times, all from Twitter, Facebook and Reddit? It's obviously made up.

In the wrong language ?

If it was said, it was almost definitely said in Spanish or Catalan. Why get protective over something Guardiola said anyway? It's been used enough that someone would have written something about it being fake, and there's nothing out there for that either.

I still can't believe Kane think it's right that Tottenham should sacrifice 50m pund for his wish to go to a rival club.

f they continue to lowball (or so we believe), then that doesn’t leave Kane feeling particularly wanted surely.
I don’t think Kane cares about being “wanted” he just know he wants out, and obviously blames Levy for standing in his way. I doubt it has occurred to him that he, and his brother, should be deep in conversation with City’s reps about how Kane is worth the money.

That is what professional representation would be doing instead of running to the media.

If that bloke thought Lingard was thick over the pool temperature, he's seriously going to have his work cut out with Grealish...

Forget setting the pool temperature, if Charlie Kane moves up there he’ll be on call 24/7 turning off light switches…. :cautious:

I wonder if this is causing division between Levy, Nuno and Fabio?

I mean, i am sure they understand completely Levy's stance, but at the same time it is clearly disrupting our transfer window and squad development / cohesion / preparation etc.

Does there come a point when Kane is deemed so disruptive ( tin hat time: part of his and City's plan) that for our season to have any chance if success it is better to let him go?

Obviously need to know if the statements being reported in the Mail / Telegraph are factual, but if so he surely can't stay? Full Chernobyl ffs

I'm not protective over anything, I just don't like lies. If you can find the original quote, I'll gladly admit I was wrong.

The problem with them keep bringing up the gentleman's agreement stuff, is that that it makes them seem like complete amateurs. Is he really saying that if we had finished 15th but beat Man City in the League cup, that would have been enough to keep him happy? If he just came out with his point of view, "I don't think I can win anything with Spurs, here is my transfer request" fans whilst not happy would be more understanding.

His biggest mistake was entrusting his future to his idiot of a brother and relying on a gentleman's agreement which means fuck all to anyone when you have 3 years left on your contract.

He should be made to travel to Portugal, train with the squad in full view of the press and sit on a bench like the 'professional' he claims to be. I'm absolutely bored of this now. I only hope now that if sold we absolutely rinse every penny out of Man City.

He’s trying to have his cake and eat it. He clearly thought he’d be able to force through a move without alienating the fans. His statement on Twitter the other week showed that, but all it did was dig the hole deeper. If he hadn’t done the Neville interview, and if he’d turned up for training etc the fans likely would have accepted it, been sad to see him go etc.

If he wanted to be open and honest about this, he’d come out publicly and request a transfer, outline his reasons and take the financial hit of losing his loyalty payment. That he’s spent the summer making snide leaks like this to the press, and trying to force the clubs hand by being unprofessional shows his true colours. He might want to win trophies, but the way he’s gone about things this summer demonstrates that money is also playing a massive part in his thinking.

Wonder what the banter’s been like on the training ground? I could imagine Dele and Dier giving him a dose of it!

How does leaking anything to the press actually solve anything?

I get it could possibly make the situation with Kane and the fans untenable.

However, in this scenario, if he stays or goes, it largely just nets off.

I’d sooner he went, but if he stays he stays. Either scenario is an ok outcome.

Why does leaking anything to the media soften Levy’s stance?? I really don’t get it or even understand the purpose of it…
Yeah...it's all over the place.

He wants us to feel sorry for him over the gentleman's agreement...despite him having 3 years left on the contract that he signed.

He wants to paint Levy as the bad guy...when City are the ones not offering close to his market value.

He wants to keep the fans onside by expressing how much he genuinely cares about us...while simultaneously lying to us about his holiday and refusing to train.

The whole thing strikes me as extremely naive and lacking in self awareness. He feels he deserves his move but also deserves the respect of the Spurs fan and is almost trying to persuade us none of this is his fault.

Pick a lane Harry. You can't have it all.
