Not sure who Kane thinks he’s fooling with the whole holiday thing, it was very obvious that it was a deliberate delay on his part. We have had three or four separate ITKs confirm he didn’t have permission for another week off.

‘journalism’

absolutely embarrassing.

Jason Burt has literally written a propaganda puff piece dictated by the Kane’s.

What a load of nonsense. And with every move they make, Kane spits on his legacy a little more.

That quote, if dated correctly, would have been from his first season as Barca manager (his second, after a season with the B team), and so it would have almost certainly have been in spanish. He wasn't the most famous manager in the world at that time.

If you wanted to find the original quote, you'd have to look in a different language and search for the right phrasing, then be certain that it wasn't referenced from a throwaway quote in a presser (e.g. not written down). 2009 was a different world for the internet, and things weren't as forensic. Bear in mind in that season he raved about Pedro (who'd just come through from the B team) and had sold Ronaldinho, technically replacing him, so it's not out of the realms of plausibility that he would say that.

Main point really is that it can neither be proven as true nor fake without evidence, so it's a bit strong to claim it as such if the only reason is "because I couldn't find it on Google in English"?

Nonsense. In 10 years it only appears 5 times, all from Twitter, Facebook and Reddit? It's obviously made up.

I can’t recall ever seeing fans of a club believe some of the things those loons on bluemoon do.

They really believe we should accept whatever they want to pay because they consider it reasonable.
I can’t imagine thinking thst about any club whose player we might want.

And there’s also now a conspiracy theory thst Lewis and Levy are in a cartel with LFC, MUFC and AFC to destroy MCFC and we are being told not to deal with them by our cartel members !!

Charlie Kane being upset that the internet was showing him up as being a bit thick, so he decided to be clever agent Charlie with The Telegraph.

Think the internet has it right tbh.

The problem with them keep bringing up the gentleman's agreement stuff, is that that it makes them seem like complete amateurs. Is he really saying that if we had finished 15th but beat Man City in the League cup, that would have been enough to keep him happy? If he just came out with his point of view, "I don't think I can win anything with Spurs, here is my transfer request" fans whilst not happy would be more understanding.

His biggest mistake was entrusting his future to his idiot of a brother and relying on a gentleman's agreement which means fuck all to anyone when you have 3 years left on your contract.

He should be made to travel to Portugal, train with the squad in full view of the press and sit on a bench like the 'professional' he claims to be. I'm absolutely bored of this now. I only hope now that if sold we absolutely rinse every penny out of Man City.

It irritates me that Kane is so desperate to have his cake and eat it.

The part in the article (which is SO clearly direct from the Kane camp) about the supposed 'mix-up in communications' over his holiday is absolutely laughable. How fucking stupid do you think we are Charlie/Harry? One of the most valuable sportsmen on the planet, who must have an entire team of professionals at his disposal organising every minute of his life, can miss an entire 2 weeks of training due to a 'miscommunication'?

Just fuck off.

That quite a damning interview.
Pushes him further away from the club and from his teammates.
I don’t think Levy will be sufficiently moved to accept a lower bid. It now becomes a test of how much City want him?
If they continue to lowball (or so we believe), then that doesn’t leave Kane feeling particularly wanted surely.
I wonder if City are pulling his strings, or if it’s his brothers doing.
I just want it resolved now.

How does leaking anything to the press actually solve anything?

I get it could possibly make the situation with Kane and the fans untenable.

However, in this scenario, if he stays or goes, it largely just nets off.

I’d sooner he went, but if he stays he stays. Either scenario is an ok outcome.

Why does leaking anything to the media soften Levy’s stance?? I really don’t get it or even understand the purpose of it…

Am convinced if he’d hopped on to Mendes or Raiola’s books he’d have been playing in Sky Blue against us at the weekend.

None of these articles have anything of any substance. Just manufactured by Charlie for clicks. City aren't going to pay up and Harry is going to have to come back with his tail between his legs. I'd play him the whole game on Thursday.
