Guess they're either not capable or willing to follow those instructions then...

Whose fault is that?

theirs.

Jose cannot MAKE them do ANYTHING.

If their attitude is abysmal what fucking hope does he have?
He could be asking them and mollycoddling them with all the best will in the world. But if they simply don’t see it as fair that they’re not included in a squad based on merit, there’s not really fuck all the manager can do about that.
He even gives them opportunities to prove him wrong and time and time again they squander them.

The players were poor today but Jose has to take a huge chunk of the blame.

We have only 3 pure CBs, yet he decided not to register Rodon for the EL. Toby is no spring chicken anymore and needs to be rested for some games. It would have been a good opportunity to play Sanchez with Rodon today instead of Dier.

A midfield combo of Sissoko & Winks has always been poor yet Jose still started with that pairing.
Huge revisionism. Dier was shit. Who's to say Rodon wouldn't have been just as bad. Sissoko and Winks should be competent enough to play against Zagreb with a 2 goal lead. Elsewise, why ever play them at all? This is on the players. You all know who they are..its plain as day.

“The team at the moment is just a reflect of what’s going on in the club”

What is he referring to here? Does that mean Levy is running the club into the ground, a criticism of the recruitment policy or Jose's day to day management?

Gotta laugh, here's my wife talking important career related stuff and my fucking pea brain just nods whilst all I can think is fucking Tottenham, fucking Tottenham... Why the fuck does it matter so much? I think that aggravates me more than being aggravated by the aggravation itself... The irony is the owners, the manager, the players only give a fuck about the career related stuff$$$$$$$$$$...

Yeah but regardless of all that, Jose still needs to go. Because even with our best players on the pitch this season we have lost too many games, with no tactics and no tactical imprint etc

Do you still think Jose should stay on as manager?
How can we expect Jose to stay on when we have comments like these?

We've heard it time and again, from Jose, from ITK, from Harry, our talisman; from Hugo, our club captain. That interview was as close as someone could come to saying there's a bunch of ****s in the dressing room without actually naming them and you still want it to be all about Mourinho? How much evidence do you need? I reckon if one of those players causing the problems came out and point-blank admitted to it, you'd still scrabble around, desperately trying to find some way of pinning it on Mourinho.

Of course we can't expect him to stay - the attitude that leads to comments like the one above makes the position untenable. If some supposed fans act like this, is it any wonder some players do too? They know that they can outlast the manager and a section of fans will get full on wood when the inevitable happens.

If there are players agitating, not pulling their weight, that's not on the manager, it's on those players. They're the ones you should be lambasting. They're the ones not living up to what Lloris mentioned; he said: "[The] important thing is this" - pointing to the fucking BADGE!!! Whatever his failings may or may not be, at the very least Mourinho is fighting for THAT!

You are determined to make this all about Mourinho and nothing else. We lose, it's Mourinho's fault; we win, Mourinho lucked out. A group of players act like Class-1, Grade-A ****s, we're being told it as bare-facedly as it's possible without actually using names; a bunch of ****s who are destabilising the club and causing us to lose against our bitter rivals and to be dumped out of yet another competition and you use it as an excuse to have another pop at the manager.

In the face of the evidence of your own eyes and ears, evidence coming straight from the horse's mouth, from someone directly involved, who has infinitely more knowledge than you have or are ever likely to have, and you insist on pointing the finger elsewhere.

You're essentially siding with the ****s that Hugo has all but named! Have a word with yourself!

This is why we fuck up all the time!

The more I think of what happened tonight, the more I think of Keith Burkinshaw's quote

You are reading far too much into what Lloris did and didn't say. I saw the interview, I posted it here, how on earth can you deride from that that it's all the players fault? Lloris is hardly going to come out and say Jose is the problem is he? When do players ever do that on camera? Yes he indicated that some players are not pulling their weight, we ALL know that. It's been clear that we need a clear out, but that doesn't excuse the the utter shambolic tenure that has been Mourinho as Spurs manager.

And regardless of how shit or disengaged our squad players are, we have lost plenty of games with our strongest team out. What is your excuse for that one? How does that fit your narrative that it's all about the crap squad players? What is laughable here is you've jumped on a 7 minute interview from Lloris to somehow demonstrate that it's all about the players and has nothing to do with Jose.

The buck stops with the manager, he is not getting anywhere close to the best of this squad including all our best players. Give your head a wobble.

Absolutely fucking nailed.

People like blaming Jose because it’s Jose.

Pure narrative. No facts.

If ANY of the detractors on this forum spent a day with him they’d soon change their fucking tune. Guaranteed.

100%.

Nagelsman is the one we were lining up before. Won't leave till the end of the season though. Not even sure money will change that.
Yep agree. We really are between a rock and a hard place right now. It looks clear Jose is in trouble but if Nagglesman is the primary target even if he wants to come it wouldn’t be until summer, Rogers won’t leave Leicester for this shit show if he has them in CL again and after this fuck up with Jose we don’t want to get it wrong again.

But this end of the season could now be a car crash keeping Jose, Hugo looked fuming and just said the dressing room is split so this could get pretty messy now on in.

Because, again in the interview, Hugo said it's all well and good having some good players, but if there's some that aren't pulling their weight, they drag the whole down. Knowledge that anyone who knows anything about sport or football readily knows and accepts as true.

But again, ignore those if it gives you a chance to have a go. I wash my hands of it.

Pathetic.

so Hugo says that some players attitiude problem spoils team spirit and what he actually means is that this is all Mourinho fault?

Before the peace talks a few weeks back. Was interested but wouldn't leave mid season. Then everything went well with his bringing the squad back.
Interesting that Hugo has now come out and said what he’s said so it seems like the peace talks will have been to get a certain group who likely weren’t playing back on side possibly the likes of Dele, Bale, Sissoko, Winks etc.

Spurs are like bloody eastEnders since the AON doc.

You've completely ignored the point I'm making so no wonder you give up and say pathetic.

I'm not arguing your first point, I am saying it does not excuse Jose's failure as manager. You are bending over backwards to absolve Jose of responsibility, that is what is pathetic.

Yeah, but the split in the dressing room is between those who act professionally and fight for the badge and those who don't. How is anyone, even the vaunted Nagelsmann going to fix that?

Yea you’re right and Hugo said he feels sorry for the fans because every year they have hope and every year the players let them down. He said some players lack the basics and fundamentals , the ones not playing need to help us out.

He was steaming. Think he’s done with it all too.

Exactly. It was terrible to see - not just steaming, not just a bit miffed - I saw real rage in there.

Didn't want to watch this because I knew it'd wind me up - but Hugo speaks fantastically and he has my full respect as our club captain coming out and saying this.

He's clearly fucked off and fed up - after 9 seasons, he probably think this might have been his last chance to win a decent trophy with us as it's rumoured he's off to PSG in the summer.
