Not sure what JJ was implying on Twitter but he replied to a podcast saying...

"Just shows how you don’t know what we know regarding players like Rodon ?"

I haven't got the time to listen to the podcast, but if anyone has or wants to listen to it for over an hour I would love to know ?
It was Last word on spurs podcast. It annoyed me a little bit as they were saying it with authority too and kinda pooh poohing him as not good enough for us. The Athletic podcast From the lane however were certain we would get him and they all work within in the media.

Having watched him play regularly for Wales, he is quality. No doubt about it. He'll be a mainstay of our defence for a long time to come

Over the moon with this signing!

Honestly excellent player! Like a good version of stones!

Only issues with joe is injuries and another!

But as people who know I have been banging his drum for what feels like forever now January he was so so close to a move to Brighton then someone else at 25/30 so honestly what a deal by levy!.

It’s crazy though to see a player who’s brother is actually a team mate of one of my mates pull on our colours will be special!

On top of that he joins the other 2 welsh lads and it’s just a lush connection for any welsh Spurs fan now!

Credit to @agrdavidsfan who I believe has Swansea connections and has been recommending Rodon as a potential star and someone we should sign since 2019.

He will go under the radar and he will make mistakes but give it 2 years under Jose and the 80 million pound Centre half won’t be the one that’s in the press for all the wrong reasons!

Literally over the moon with it, it’s hilarious as I was there was issues and it could be off and I was upset that he could end up at west ham!.

But credit to Joe who basically refused the chance of his boyhood club getting more money to come and play for us which ended up in the favorable deal being had, He had his heart set on us and here he is!.

Also credit to Spurs who tried to help Swansea out, CCV didn’t want to return there though.

Has the potential to be everything England wanted stones to be!

He’s John stones with the mental b*stard thrown in!

Throw a brick at him and he will head it back!

Every swans fan under the sun is gutted they’ve lost one of their own and one of those players that really connects and feels like a fan on the pitch

Also Spurs is Christmas parties have just become a lot more fun ??????!! (Hopefully he doesn’t invite his brother along who’s a mad one too!).

Can he play in UEL matches ?
Nope, he signed too late to be added to the squad for the group stages. We will be able to resubmit a new squad list for the knockout stages of the UEL though and he will be able to be included.

Is this referring to the "mystery issue" that's had us all baffled?

At 24 van dijk is fighting relegation with Southampton and goes on to join Liverpool at 27. At 24 alderweireld is a bit part player at atletico madrid making only 12 appearances in 2yrs, joins Southampton on loan at 25 before joining spurs in 2015 aged 26. At 24 Sanchez is now first choice RCB at spurs, a top 6 team pushing for champions league football. Let's compare like with like and not young CB's like sanchez at the beginning of their careers with experienced CB's like van dijk and alderweireld at the peak of their careers.

Happily come back in 3 years, to tell you 'told you so' that Sanchez is no where near VVD, King or any other great CB. I never realised you can only form an opinion on a CB once they have reached 27. Once again today, as with every other time he starts, we look a nervous wreck at the back. But don't worry in 3 years time everyone he will suddenly become intelligent, handle pressure, not constantly kick the ball to no one and be great in the air. Just needs 3 more years to learn these things.

Rodon might walk into a starting center back role, I don't think we have much better at the position right now than what you'd see at the upper end of the Championship. If he is as good as some are making it out to be there will be a spot for him to grab.

After watching those free kicks and Sanchez’s header, can’t wait to see a 6’5” unit who loves a header come in an smash those clear. Come on Joe, show us what you’ve got son.

It's time for him. I wish we could give him time to settle, but I think we need him now. Elite in the championship, and recently these type of players seem to carry over their form/quality to the prem. I wish he was available for Europa, but I think he needs to straight in the prem.

Such a shame we can't play him in midweek but I'd be very tempted to give him a run of games in the league. Our next 3 games aren't the toughest so it seems like a good time to blood him in.

We'll know a lot more about Jose's opinion on our current CBs based on our lineup against Burnley. If Rodon starts it shows that Jose really doesn't trust our current CBs at all, whereas if Rodon is on the bench/not in the squad he's clearly seen as one for the future to be eased in slowly.

I was confident he’d force his way in at some point this season but right now I think he walks into our defence. Real shame he’s not available mid week to have a proper look at where he’s at right now.
