He honestly isnt a premier league player. Barely championship quality, really. He offers nothing. Never has really. He's been living off a great against Madrid 4 years ago. Far out of his depth in this league. Just an atrocious footballer. And I'll be very happy when we finally see the back of him. Disgustingly bad.

That's a nuanced and thoughtful take on things.. thanks for the informative read

Putting Winks & Moura & we went to pieces. Winks should have gone where N'Dombele played rather than taking Hojbjerg place & putting Hojbjerg in N'Dombele's place.

Seems we have to score 4, 5 or 6 to win a game, ridiculous.

once again, same as Newcastle the ref falls for a player falling over and gives a free kick, again we’re punished. What is winks doing not smashing that away?

Mourinhos fault. Yes, you can blame Sanchez, Sissoko and others for their mistakes, but in the end its Mourinhos mentality that's causing this. We get too passive and invite our opponents. They get free kicks, corners and can put pressure on our weak centre backs that can't dominate their own box. We have seen it over and over again. Look at the goals we have conceded so far. 5 from set pieces, 1 own goal and only 2 from open play (3 with the OG). If we keep playing this will not happen.

Sanchez really hasn’t got the right mentality to play at this level, he has all the tools but gets rattled far too easily and when he does he falls apart

To think some of us during the chase of skiniar, thinks that our existing centrebacks are sufficient..
CBs weren’t really the problem. One goal was Sissoko falling asleep, the other a wonderstrike. The problem was they overloaded us down the flanks 2nd half.

3 nil up and we shit the bed with 12 minutes to go, with the amount of professionals on the pitch you'd think they would manage the game better

Sanchez is a liability and always has been , no matter how good he plays there is always a mistake in him. Also Aurier just gives away so many needless fouls its ridiculous. I dont care how good we are in the front a shitty defensive line will get us nowhere. Liverpool are a prime example of this the past two games.

It’s really frustrating but it comes down to mentality again for me. Teams that are ruthless and win trophies close those games out.

I think Jose will have learned a lot about certain players today. He's all about game management so to throw away a game like that...it must be the only time it's happened to him in his career.

Sanchez lost his head completely after the first goal (he really wasn't that all bad before that) and then he utterly fucked it for the second. I really think we might need to just give Rodon a run in the team as it's hard to see him doing much worse than our other options the moment. At the very least he should be dominant in the air and a better passer than Sanchez.

The defending was awful from the start, i was calling it and im sure many others were calling it. The thing is when you come out in the lead and coast youre going to get bitten... we have consistently had issues where we perform for one half. It was a poor second half from us. Not sure what Jose said to them but based on that he was like make sure we get a clean sheet now and manage the game, but not in this sort of game.

To be honest what Winks does in that last third goal is a cardinal sin. It's 10 seconds left. The ball has to be cleared - You don't drive the ball towards the middle trying to dribble past players.

Lanzini doesn't score that again even if he had 10,000 tries. But once again it's those late fouls that kills us. Definitely still room for improvement.

Winks, Sanchez, Sissoko and Bergwijn not good enough
First two sure, and that's not reactionary. They've largely been poor for a while, bar Sissoko 18/19 and Sanchez's first season. Stevie's been here 10 months so calm down there. just off an injury. 22 yo dutch international not good enough based off of one performance v. west ham sureeeeee. First start in the league all season. Give him a break. goals v city and united. knows how to use the ball. Most of hs involvement was him being used as a target man this game, dunno why.

Fine margins, Bale scores that goal and that would have been the wonder goal people talked about and we win the game.
