My point is he isn't actually out for that long amount of time. I mean the last 2 seasons he has a worse than average injury record but has never failed to play 34 games in a season. Last season he missed 14 games through one injury, but that's by far the worst injury he has ever had career wise, and, like I said there is nothing to suggest it repeating. It's the first time he has had such an injury and that just sounds like misfortune. His ankle injuries are the worry, and that takes him out for about 6 weeks at a time, which is annoying but not unusual. It's based on his past injury issues, and when he's out he's normally out for considerable time.
Of course we don't know for sure but I don't want to see him being run into the ground. I know he hasn't been this time, more thinking future.
When you've had some serious injuries being overworked leaves you more vulnerable, that's not speculative its logical.
I mean we should look after him and not overwork him. But, he is at the prime of his career, both Messi and Ronaldo had no problem playing every single match at the time.
Kane hasn't had serious injuries. He has never had a serious injury, like ever. This isn't Lamela, luke shaw, coleman or even Shearer and Michael owen territories. This is the misunderstanding. Last season was the worst injury he's ever had, two months out, but its not an unusual injury to get. It's just normal football player stuff and doesn't suggest a pattern and doesn't really fit with the rest of his medical history.
We do need to worry about his ankle, but his ankle injuries have all been caused by impact. It's hard to 'take care' of those injuries by not overworking. Take out the ankle issues and he has had only 3 injuries in the last 6 years, and none of them related to each other. One hamstring injury (missed 2 games), one knee injury (missed no games) and last years thigh muscle injury. The ankle isn't about fitness and we have to be careful, but it's hard to know what to do apart from trying to strengthen the ligaments in different ways.
Kane shouldnt be overplayed but my point is there is no reason to think that there is anything that needs changing.
