If push comes to shove if any manager can push Levy to go the extra 10 mill on a transfer it's Jose.

Terms agreed with benfica , we need to get over the work permit issue which is not a forgone conclusion

if inter do not budge on the ten mill diff then Rudinger is the option

saints want sess in Loan

Thanks. Saints have Ryan Bertrand at left back who's not brilliant but is a solid PL player. So I'm not sure this would be that great a move for Sess if we want him to get lots of playing time at fullback.

Southampton are an eminently sensible option for a young winger/leftback who’s trying to work out what his best position is before starring for Spurs, I feel.

*resists urge to post David Brent gif* :inpain:

Would be typical if all was agreed for us to finally sign a striker, only for a bloody work permit to bring the whole deal crashing down.

All these sort of issues are more complicated now we have left the EU

D1 is saying Rudiger as back-up CB option? I know it's been mentioned in the press, but that would be a surprise.

Signing a brazilian is no different at all. Football will still have their own rules and stipulations attached but the premier league is a massive earner for the country they will try their best not to f that up. (Cover note that Brexit is dumb and I'm not a supporter.)

Cannot see Chelsea dealing with us but if it did happen I’d love to see the announcement video...I love the spurs fans they’re not racist I was only joking around.

seems weird we would go this far without making sure he would get a permit

Maybe there's a difference between getting a work permit for a loan and a permanent transfer? Because he would have to have played in 75% of international games in the last 2 years.

The 75% was dropped in 2015, it's 30 - 75% depending on the Fifa ranking of the player national association now. Regardless, he hasn't played for Brazil, but the Exemptions panel take into account player value, wage, experience in a 'top league' and participation in 'continental competitions) i.e. CL so there's plenty of points there for him without the automatic endorsement

Who have they got at LW?
They played Djenepo there last week. Redmond would normally be there but he's injured for the foreseeable. Armstrong has usually played on the right but Redmond can play there too.

They have some depth out wide, it's in the middle they struggle.

Can we even know if he would get a work permit unless we submitted one? Maybe we have to get this far into the transfer stage to know for sure. I'm sure much worse players have got one and with the value of him so much higher than last year I can't see it being a problem. Although it is Spurs and there are different rules for us so who knows.
