From Football London (in case it hasn't been posted)

More on Dier
On going to get Dier back to the pitch, Mourinho was asked whether he was aware how difficult it is to pee with someone standing over you. Mourinho's response with a big laugh: "The problem was he wasn't peeing!"

Mourinho on Dier
"With Eric you can imagine what happened, to leave the pitch. I was just going to push him a bit as we had one player less. It was the consequence of what he did, tired, dehydrated. I cannot play him on Thursday or I would kill him."

All I wanted was to still be in both competitions after this week. And not only did we win on penalties, but I felt we could have won in 90 in the end. Get through on Thursday and both are winnable cups. When is the draw for this? Does anyone know?

Well that was a great game, If we can start games like we did in the second half .....well ....

After a couple of brain farts i thought he wont be starting very regulon but he grew in the game and produced a great cross with his right foot, he looks a tidy player and he ran all night, he was even the first to get to Hugo after the pens, will get better & better when things calm down a bit and he gets a run in the first team.

Coco motm without a doubt the best player on the pitch, such a selfless young man, we're lucky to have a player like him.

Thought Hojbjerg was a bit average when we first started out but his performance against newcastle was much better and he carried that on tonight, steady and more forward thinking than before.

Tanganga is going to be some player for us, for him to play like that after so long out, brilliant, love the way he presses to win the ball.

I think we showed great belief tonight and that's credit to Jose & all the players.

Not really meant to be classy is it? It's the stupidest insult ever, the man isn't even fat. It's almost self-deprecating in a "look how shit my joke is" kind of way.
It's also pretty moronic considering we used to have Andy Reid, and even more moronic as people ripped on Ndombele for his weight.

Lamela (sort of) encapsulated in a couple of moments during that half - busting a gut to get back, great challenge to win the ball then runs straight at two opposition players and loses it immediately!

Love his work rate, his heart and how much he clearly cares. Really, really needs to work on decision making, releasing teammates, etc.

Son or Kane in place of Bergwijn in that half and we’d maybe have had a different story. Switch in Hojbjerg for Sissoko and I think the shape could really suit our squad.

P.S. and Lo Celso in place of Gedson too!

So, coming back to this post shortly before half time.

He kept it up in the second half, worked his socks off and any other old footballing cliche you can think of (a couple more incoming)

Sure, he could do with being more clinical in the final third and all that, but really lead by example tonight. If everyone could have a similar level of fire in their belly we’d be a really tough team to compete with.
