Agreed. Costa and Milik have both been mentioned in media reports, no? Not strictly under the radar.
You could stretch to Milik as an 'under the radar type' depending how you view him, but Costa coming back to the prem would make good print, would have thought someone would have had more on him moving to us by now.

Maybe it's just me and not being overly enthused by some of the links we have had.

As ever, I'm most likely wrong, which isn't new.

Costa in the era of VAR has got nightmare written all over it. VAR came into La Liga and he’s lost his shithouse and goal scoring powers.

He’s not the Costa that we saw at Chelsea, but he has to be better than literally no-one, right?

I hadn't really heard much about his most recent spell in Spain, so just looked into his stats.

Ten goals across the past three seasons in one of the strongest teams in the league. Doesn't sound great to be honest.

I'd rather have Wilson, Wood, King or Milik and by quite a distance. If he's still on 280k or whatever it would be a shocking signing.

I don’t think it’s fair to say Diego Costa is shite now. He was prolific in his final season in the Premier League and suited Mourinho down to a tee.

There hasn’t been any gradual recession of his ability. He went back to Atletico and has not had a single good season for them. I think that suggests he hasn’t been able to readjust to Spain and the style of football Simeone plays rather than him becoming shit overnight. In fairness to Costa, strikers usually aren’t prolific under Simeone. Griezmann being the one outlier really.

Put it this way, if we are looking for a cheap striker who knows Mourinho, is happy to play a squad role and come off the bench with Lamela around the 70th minute mark and shit house teams, i’d take Costa wayyyyy before the likes of Deeney, Zahavi, Dzyuba, etc.

If we had money, then of course I’d be looking at the likes of Wilson or Milik before him.
