I have a feeling that we'll hit Wet Spam for 4 or 5,
:hump: Yes, we will se at West Ham how far we have come...
did not watch the wigan game, but I strongly disagree when people put attacking football, fluid passing game and Martin Jol in the same sentence.
Just doesn't make sense, i've watch 70% of the games on tv since Jol took charge of Spurs and I have never seen us play as a unit like Blackburn or Everton, never...
It was what jol was TRYING to achieve; what he wanted to avoid was positional rigidity which would make us predictable to play against. A very Dutch approach. When it came off we looked fantastic, but we never really had the players with the nous to make it work against disciplined opposition, and when we were up against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, they were just better at it than we were.
Ramos will make us more discplined, but the concern is that he will also make us more two-dimensional. That was why I thought Jol rather than Ramos was the manager to take us to the next level, as he was attempting to play the football that works at that level; and with a young talented squad whom he could mould he had the platform to do that. But it was always going to take time.
Fair play to Jol then. But he was given at least 3 years, how much longer does he need to implement his system? another 3 years?, Robbie Keane will be 30 by then
The man has vision i give you that but not the know how to achieve it.
