Apologies if I'm being a stupid boy, but anyone else starting to think that Jimmy Perry and David Croft have been scripting our transfer dealings this summer...

Chief Scout: Looking at relegated players, Norwich want £30m for Godfrey

Levy: May I be excused?

Chief Scout: Frazer is free, but he'll want a huge signing-on fee. What do you think of that option?

Levy: It's doomed, I tell ye, doomed.

Chief Scout: Or there's Wilson. He wants us and Bournemouth are desperate to cut costs.

Levy: Oh, how lovely.

This is going to sail over the heads of many, sadly.

Like Lamela, his availability when needed is the thing I'm worried about.

Is his injury record much worse than Kane's? I'm sure somone can come up with some figures. I know he's had ACL problems but that injury isn't a career ender like it used to be.

Played every league match last season, starting 35, and started 30 the season before. Even the year before he played 28, and 20 the year before when he was still recovering from the huge injury which lost him most of his first PL season (13 matches only).

There's no real downside to this, pacy, good finisher, good positioning, homegrown and seemingly available at a decent price.

Agreed. Don’t overly understand why people are concerned at getting him. Hope all this smoke means a big old forest fire.

Mental!

That’s an olive branch by the way.

Never liked when players have dodgy knees.

What type of striker is he? Can he play up front on his own, win headers and bring others into play?

He can play upfront on his own but needs a creative midfielder behind him likes to run into channels with balls played through or over the top . When you play upfront with Dominic solanke your generally playing on your own anyway because he is carp.

he is reasonably strong and pretty good in the air . If his knees hold out he will be a decent option, more so from the bench against tiring defenders .
