We look brainless going forward so he continues to play Lucas? I don’t get it. If he wants a direct option play Son but we need a Lamela or Bergwijn on the other side for a bit of imagination and brains. You have both Son and Lucas and it’s two direct runners with no creativity and a big lack of brains. This is gonna be frustrating.

Agree. Very disappointed with that line up.

Honestly thought he'd be a bit more imaginative after the shit in recent weeks.

What's the definition of insanity again...

Ok I’ll get lots of disagrees for this but I get why Winks starts this game. He’s a proper spurs boy/ fan who completely gets the importance of this game for the fans and will be fired up. I have no problem with him starting personally.

With Sissoko though - no!
Winks might be a Spurs boy and be fired up but that doesnt earn you brownie points. He isnt good.

Before everyone starts booting off, that is probably the best team available to start today.

Whilst the selection against Bournemouth wasn't great this is probably the correct call today. Think it will be similar to the United game, we will look to counter using Son and Lucas and keep thing compact in the middle, in games we are the better side we should not play Winks and Sissoko but makes sense to start them here.

Don't think any of our forwards are in great form but Son and Lucas should be the freshest we have to partner Kane.

We need to see changes for the other games but understand not throwing Tanguy/Skipp/Sess in to start.

COYS this is the only thing left this season. Let's at least beat this lot.

Winks and Sissoko partnership again, FFS, The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results

I love son, as we all do, but he's been awful since the restart as has moura. Bergwijn should 100% be in ahead of one of them.

As for the winks/sissoko pairing I've no more words.

Moura is a Mourinho favourite because of his running and closing down when we don’t have the ball, not for any particular attacking attribute. We effectively sacrifice Bergwijn for an attacker who’s in the team because of his defensive attributes. I hate that.

We get Lessa up front than Moura

He's not even good at it - he's nowhere near disciplined enough to keep our shape, he just looks lively and has a quick burst of acceleration so it looks like he's trying really hard.

In reality he sprints really hard at the opposition player with the ball until they release it right into the space behind him.

It'll be another bad game from our best player Gio. Winks and Sissoko are no good for attack armed. Mourinho OUT!

Insanity is doing the same the thing over and over again and expecting different results. We know this starting 11 produces mid-table performances because that’s what it has done for 18 months. Why persist with it? Unless we truly spent huge sums of money on players who can’t break into a mid-table team. Are we West Ham?

I don’t think Mourinho will be our manager this time next year. His only option is to overhaul the squad but that’s impossible in this financial situation.
