Looks class on the ball in this video. If his defensive output is good as well I like the sound of this signing. I imagine we'll be targeting the Dutch, French and Belgian leagues this summer as they didn't restart and are therefore feeling the financial pressures of the pandemic even more acutely than most (not to mention are affordable markets to begin with), so we may well be able to get players at the prices we need.

There's arrogance in his play which I quite like. Looks like captain material as well. A very good corner, penalty and free kick taker also

Koopmeiners looks like a quality no.8 - would love him in the side - so technically competent.

Yes yes and yes! He’s class. As a pure DM, he’s in a whole different class to PEH, however, we all know that the eredivisie isn’t the best league to gauge the talent/ability of a player. For every Suarez there is a Jansen. It seems we’ve done well with Stevie as I also rated him highly. Hopefully ziyech flops, but he’s most likely gonna be a world beater. Anyway, like you said and the vid shows, his passing is the highlight of his game. Very versatile as well, he’s mostly played CB this season bc of injuries, but DM is his best position. He’s already the captain of AZ at just 22, so he can provide the leadership qualities that we know we’d be getting with PEH. Very calm on the ball and is a great team player with and without the ball, as is the Dutch philosophy. He’s also a dead ball specialist, reliable from the spot and deadly from free kicks. He’d probs be cheaper than PEH too, if it were between the two, I’d choose Koopmeiners.
Only doubts would be about his physical attributes- acceleration, speed agility etc. Whilst he doesn’t have the size of Huddlestone, I’m worried he may not have the ability to close down as well as some other cdm options, making him easy to play around.
I’d love to be proved wrong though, as all his other attributes (both on the ball, and leadership) make him the ideal player for us.

Add another one to the list of DM’s that could add something to us, I’m sure someone suggested him last summer Joao Palhinha from Sporting Lisbon, currently on loan at Braga. Looks a bit ‘agricultural land with his tackes, but decent technique on the ball and a good physical presence.

I wish we could find a way in the squad and replace moura and lamela with eze and grealish. That would be perfect !!!

Yeh he definitely seems to have something we don't have. Though I would say that almost all his long distance passing come under very little defensive pressure, that is not something you get so often in the PL. But we do someone who can switch play a little quicker.

Reportedly one of our previous “primary targets”, Victor Osimhen, is likely to go Napoli for 80m [although the report did state that an English club made an approach today].

I really thought COVID-19 was going to bring about a correction in the transfer market, but it looks like it is still inflated and out of wack.

If true, Milik will almost certainly be out the door this window.

Where do napoli get the money from?

Tv deals cant be that great compared to ours id imagine and I cant imagine any corporate facilities in that crumbling stadium

There is no way it's 80 million. I think the super reliable 'footmercato' plucked that out of thin air. 40 mil seems to be what is being reported. Still a lot, but possible precovid times.

They are going sell Koulibaly for 70-80m to City or United or Chelsea. That's where the money coming from. Also they need replacements for Mertens and Callejon as well..

The guy's got those crazy telescopic legs like Wan-Bissaka and he clears people out without any apologies. Love it!

James Horncastle said €70m on TFS pod yesterday, but also agreed that he didn't know how as they haven't got that much money, maybe some accounting fiddle. Then again it's not as if anyone pays in 1 instalment.

Interesting, So that's around 60million quid, so right in the middle. Strange though, maybe they do have sales lined up.

Seems like they will sell Milik and probably Koubailly too. Unlike our glorious leader, they look to strengthen first.

Is Lucas Tousart going to be the player who will unlock Tanguy Ndombele at Tottenham?
[/QUOTE]
He's joining Hertha and - according to Lyon supporters at Twitter - he was awful this season.
