Though they might be unlikely and a bit expensive Declan Rice and Mcneil at Burnley should be very high on any lists - Rice will be a superstar
If West Ham go down they are in a massive fiancial hole so they will have to sell. The competition for Rice will be intense, though.

with Rice he has poise and looks cultured but there is a lot more to him than that, he also has power and desire and will only get better. People say he is like Carrick but for those of that are older I see some of Brian Robson in him. Look at the goal West ham had disallowed at Sheffield United earlier this season last minute of the game powered through the midfield and still picked out a killer pass at the end - put him in a good side and there is a real upside

Thanks for the responses, tbh, he'd make sense for a lot of teams in the top half of the table. He'll have his pick, whether West Ham go down or not.

Let's get to the jetty early and not wait until the numerous boats have sailed ( HMS Grealish for one)
See a player we rate, early bid and pày the asking price if necessary.
Get a deckchair and settle in before the gangplank is pulled up.

While this is true,
We'll probably end up blue,
Trying to find the glue,
To stick this team together.

I think he’s fairly basic on the ball tbh, whenever I’ve watched him I see him go back to the defence or the keeper when he’s under pressure in midfield. He doesn’t scream cultured or poise to me, miles away from say Grealish/Carrick in that regard, maybe similar to Dier and a lot of players in that area of the pitch they find it hard to manoeuvre the ball through midfield when they receive the ball back to goal. maybe he would be better with a better team I don’t know. I just think like a lot of youngish English/Irish players their monetary value is higher than than their value on the pitch.

A player that might be more gettable out of Villa is Douglas Luiz. I wasn’t convinced by him at all as a PL player earlier this season but he’s really grown into the defensive midfield position at Villa. He has better ability on the ball and better passing range than Holbjerg for example. Plus does pop up with a goal now and then.

One to keep an eye on I think. Not sure if Man City have a but back option on him though.

I can see Rice ending up back at Chelsea when Kante moves on

Mentioned on 5live during some game that City do have a buy back.

yeah I think he looks quite good strikes the ball well, commentator said the other day when I watched them that city have a 2 year buyback clause

If Ndombele does go (and he’ll only go if we can recoup the initial outlay) we should bring in Grealish as his replacement. Can offer the game time that others don’t if we switch to Mourinho’s 4-3-3 next season.

Guess it depends if they’re interested. Mind you they could buy him to sell on to us just to make a few quid. Not that they need it of course.

Anyone else think Ollie Watkins at Brentford would be worth it? I think he could play both alongside or instead of Kane. He has pace to burn, seems capable of a lot of different goals and seems to have that knack of finding himself in the right positions in the box.
