I know what would help, make people that buy tickets there actually go to the games rather than give / sell their tickets to anyone who will take them, who support any team in the world. If the people that currently own the tickets dont intend to go to the games take them away and give them to SPURS fans who would.
Very hard trying to get an atmosphere going when you've got half a dozen Liverpool supporters sitting round you.... for example.
Do we even need pre-match music? Are professional athletes pumped up by a 20-year-old piece of music from a crap Star Wars film?
They’d probably choose Drake or some shite.
Younger people and cheaper seats will help but will not happen
It's funny how much the Premier League bangs on about improving diversity, but the actual crowds that go to football games are all very similar.
If you were to look at Tottenham as an area and then look at the crowd, you'd realise that there was a stark difference.
I live here and I dont know a soul that goes to a spurs game
I assume because they're simply priced out..? Or do they not go because they don't associate the club with the area any more?
Introduce safe standing... Man Utd have announced that they’re going to introduce it for 1,500 fans.
We all stand in the middle of the south lower. I advent sat down for a single game in the new place. It doesn't make much difference i'm afraid.
I absolutely loathe that song!
It harks back to the bad old days of the 70s and 80s when violence marred football.
The language is foul.
It's not connected with the game.
It's not encouragement or recognition for individual players or the team as a whole.
I’ve watched a couple of games from the South Stand with two completely different atmospheres (stood throughout both as far as I can remember).
The first was the UCL quarter final against City and the atmosphere was electric, best atmosphere we’ve had at the new ground by a mile. But I was high up in the south stand and remember looking down and thinking to myself that all I can see is a sea of bald or grey haired men...
The second game was the semi final against Ajax... I was now much lower down behind the goal... all I heard was moaning all game.
But my point about safe standing is that the areas that it is introduced will be cheaper and would hopefully attract a younger 1882 type fan, or at least that is how it should be marketed by the club, which would hopefully improve the atmosphere. And give them the drum!
