Not really sure where to post or ask, but it’s been a fair few years I’ve been to game without my kids, so over those years it’s been a quick pint anywhere with the kids who want to get into the stadium ASAP, but what are the best pubs for a decent atmosphere before games these days?

going up early with my brother, so no kids in tow on Saturday, anyone fancy a few before the game, or drop the best atmosphere pubs down please folks!

Only one I've done is the Beehive in Tottenham Hale which I did a couple of times. Was not overly packed but still a decent number and there was good space with a few screens in the garden. A good location as well since its a short walk from the station.

The Volunteer is near Tottenham Hale as well. Proper little Spurs boozer, now tucked away behind all those awful tower blocks they've built. But its a great atmosphere and you can get chatting to anyone. Fairly cheap pint as well.

I've been to this, it's a decent boozer.

It depends on what you want atmosphere, or a drink.

Coach and horses/brickies are good for atmosphere, but don't expect to get a drink easily 2 hours before kick off.

I drink in the white horse, which is cheap and busy, but not too busy. You have that and gilpins, which is a weatherspoons.

The High Cross is never packed, if you don't mind still have a little bit of a walk to the ground. I tend to find it's busier after games than before. Although small, it has outside seating to the side as well, so perfect for kids. Before the Sporting game last season, Sporting fans were drinking there as well and it was a lovely safe atmosphere.

I think I’d prefer a busier pub before game, soak it all in

Which way are you coming in. If its from seven sisters, then busy pubs would probably be the bell and hare (I think it's called number 8s now), and blue coats, which is a decent small, but busy pub.

The bell and hare is mad expensive though. I will be in the white horse it has atmosphere, does get busy, but not insanely busy.

Kid friendly, Beavertown, No8, Antwerp Arms, Olive, or further down the High Rd, Bluecoats, Two Brewers, Beehive

As with all pubs, some of the songs can be be a bit risque for small ears.

Yeah Seven Sisters but good to go anywhere, not worried about prices though!

no doubt will spend a small fortune afterwards as my brother will us going god knows where after the game.

I’m without kids this Saturday pal, so not worried about being kid friendly, although my kids are good with that side anyway

Beehive is a great Pitstone for a couple halfway through your walk from seven sisters to the stadium.

I'd also guess that the atmosphere I the stadium before the game isn't going to be bad either

Yeah doesn't really get better than the market place before kick off.

It gets rammed - but when i'm up for a sing song and a bit of a tribal atmosphere I still head to the brickies.

Though haven't got up much recently :(

Just go to the stadium. Levy created a match day 'experience'. It's on you to live it. You can then also sing along with the busker, whilst marvelling at the bottom filled pints.

It’s still not quite the same as a pub though 😂

When we win, the goal line bar is pretty amazing after a game, but the pub is better before KO if you want the singing and so on.
