This is also aimed at those with the same mind set who agrees with you. Thinking along these lines shows how much lack of faith and even disrespect you have to our current players including the new acquisitions. I know we didnt get a striker (which I too wanted) that would have strengthen us, but it is not the be all and end all. To think that we now are going to be dumped out of the CL, little chance of the FA cup and now wont be able to challenge Chelsea for 4th spot is pathetic.

Even Chelsea and Manu didnt get the quality striker that we wanted. From the outset JM had said that clubs are unlikely to get the chosen targets because their respective clubs are unlikely to release them mid campaign. In other words its other clubs' deadwood that would be available. So unless he was going to get a bargain JM didnt want to pay over the odds for a players he thought were risky and in the case of Girould, everything was agreed with the him and the Chelsea management, but it was that c*** Lampard who (spitefully imo) pulled the plug. If JM had paid over the odds and got these players and it didnt work, we would have been left with more deadwood, and again Levy would have been blamed.

The issue is Chelsea already have three strikers in TA, MB and OG.

United have Greenwood and Martial and actively seeking a striker in the last few hours.

We’re plugging a major hole that our best player occupied with wide forwards who are unable to play in a Jose team long term. It’s hard not to be pessimistic when we haven’t exactly scored a load of goals since Kane’s injury.

Of course it’s not the be all and end all but an out and out striker to replace Kane has been needed for quite some time. The club are solely to blame for not bringing in anyone and not only in this window.

Jose Mourinho (JM) wants the 18 year olds upwards going out on loan everywhere, to get experience. He believes they and we have suffered, as they were stifled not going out on loan.

Anyone saying "it's not a bad window" can come up with it throughout spring after every tripe performance, when we've crushed out of CL/FA and lost out on 4th. Make no mistake about it, this is worst performance on transfer window since Berba/Frazier. Could turn out to be even worse. We had one rather simple task and failed to deliver.
Shush now.
There were two windows when we bought nothing, then several others where we bought shite.
We've bought some quality this window and while I agree that we've failed on the striker front, to say it's shit is daft.

I think Bergwijn relieved some of the need for another striker, Son, Moura Berwijn and Ali is a decent front 4

We’ve massively struggled to score goals with them bar Bergwijn, I can’t see anything dramatically changing in terms of goal output based on 1 signing alone.

I’ve just caught up on the thread and will finally resign myself to defeat.

I think it might have to be a loan for Weghorst

Much love from the Maldives.

Book marked we will revisit this in 4 months . Man U yeah they are a mess and in a similar position to us but Chelsea can call on TA MB OG. In the grand scheme of this and with a 6 point lead there options are better than ours especially for goals off the bench .

an injury to son and we are well up shot creak. He’s the only one we can count on to bang in another 10 goals this season .

we never learn that’s the problem how many windows has it been where we are crying out for a striker?? The pressure on Kane is ridiculous in all honesty. No wonder he keeps getting injured . We can’t afford to play a full season with Harry playing 45-50 games

He’s not wrong. KWP has been massively stunted by this. Good to hear we are getting youngsters back out on loan again.

Tanganga signed/agreed 5 year contract. Eventually will be announced. Troy Parrot also agreed similar I believe, on his 18th Birthday in few days. Hugo agreed extension.

Edited: This is what I have heard

The point is Giroud should never have been in the radar.
we know how they behave. Sure ask but walk away. Don’t give them the satisfaction
Sure Giroud could do a job but he plays for them. End of

I think they successfully appealed their ban and can buy now.
He wanted to leave and wanted to stay in London, that didn't leave too many options really. Frank kyboshed it otherwise, it may well have happened.
Spot on!

Bergwijn brings a lot to the attack. He's got searing pace which will scare defenders, is strong as an ox and has excellent ball skills allowing him to hold the ball up and have others run off of him, and has the vision and weight of pass to find those runners.

I think those attributes combined with Dele's excellent timing of runs and Son's directness, together with Aurier providing width on the right, could make for a very threatening attack.

Hugo really ?? I think maybe it’s about time we replaced him and not with Gaza.

always think Hugo has a mistake in him certainly over the last couple of years I no longer think he’s in the top 5/6 keepers in this league

Glad to hear Tanganga agreed a contract. Jose alluded a few weeks back that it’s already been done or an extension option had been activated. Almost certain it was after the Liverpool game.
