He’s only started 9 PL games in the last 2 seasons. It’s a bit difficult to score if your not on the pitch.

This is kinda the point though. By sacrificing someone else to play the number 9 you are losing them from their best poisiton which hurts the team. By getting in a worse standard number 9 at least you can keep as many players in their best position which is probably more benefitial to the team in the long run.

Not crazy about Giroud but i'll leave it to better minds. The one thing that would be good about him signing is him playing in the NLD. Given the state of the Arsenal defense, he just might score against his own mates. And in that case, AFTV would be a must watch

I wonder if agents keep offering players to us, if there’s the possibility we’ll contemplate it tomorrow out of desperation. A Benteke, Slimani or Balotelli on loan with no obligation, may just be better than nobody. Short term fix until we can buy someone more suited.
On the Giroud point, I can’t see Chelsea doing a loan, they’ll want a permanent deal, and do we want to be paying out for someone of Girouds age and skillset.
