Well this was a bloody depressing read this morning
Perfectly sums up the current mood around the club at the moment
Well this was a bloody depressing read this morning
Doesn't make sense why we'd even bother getting Jose in to be fair if this were the case, surely we'd have just kept Poch. It cost a lot of money to sack him then replace him with someone on more money. To then outright lie to that new manager and immediately show your true face just really doesn't seem like what has happened. I mean if it is that's just bonkers.
Jose was pretty clear right at the beginning that he believed in the squad and wouldn't be looking to sign players. The very reason you'd guess Levy did what he did, was that Mourinho was saying he'd get the best out of the squad whereas Poch wanted to rebuild.
Jose's stance in public has only changed based on injuries. He's got Gedson in for Sissoko who's likely to miss most of the rest of the season. And wants a striker to come in for Kane who could miss the rest of the season. Injuries have changed the situation.
I doubt the sole reason Jose was appointed was just because he said he could get the best out of the squad. It might have been a factor, and maybe that's causing some complications this window specifically, but I would have thought Jose would have had plans to be backed mid-term at least. The Kane injury wouldn't have been accounted for of course, though we all know it should have been. And as you say, we did our best to resolve the Sissoko problem, so things don't seem as bleak on that front as it might seem is my point.
I'm struggling with depression and bipolar disorder, so couldn't give a fuck either way to be honest.
Its only football.

Fair enough, but I think he's probably been a bit shocked at quite how far some of our players have slipped. I think we all are.

we have survived without Kane before, and Poch worked a system to cope
They got very lucky with our improvement under Poch with minimal spend, and the promise of the stadium has kept the majority of fans off their back until now. But we have the stadium now, fans will want to see success and investment in playing staff next, otherwise I feel a rather large storm brewing.
Until he realised a lot of them not up to it ?World class manager who stated straight off the bat that he was happy to work with the players at his disposal.
did I say that you knobber?
we are in absolute DIRE need of reinforcements this month! Not in the fucking summer!
Daniel ****** looking at loan with option/s, but no obligation ?
Alternatively, why not add a player or 2 he does want beyond the summerYes, you said:

So, to clarify, loans are indeed reinforcements this month. So it seems like the club are looking to do what they can this month without potentially adding players to the squad that JM wouldn't want beyond the summer.
The contradiction between the reasons for all the rage and what the club is actually (seemingly) doing makes no sense.
Rare to have them available in January though. As other commentary in here has suggested, including ITK, most clubs wanted to keep their players to push for promotion or stay in the leagueAlternatively, why not add a player or 2 he does want beyond the summer
