Hope that Mourinho is the sway then.
It will make fuck all difference though if we won’t pay the money.
Hope that Mourinho is the sway then.
Let's hope this is bull.
"Tottenham Hotspur could send Giovani Lo Celso back to Real Betis as they attempt to buy Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon, sources have told Football FanCast."
Spurs could send Lo Celso back to Spain amid Fernandes pursuit
Spurs' pursuit of Bruno Fernandes could be the end of both Giovani Lo Celso and Juan Foythwww.footballfancast.com
More than that - we're not going to waste a £14.4m loan fee (figure taken from transfermarkt).Pretty sure it is. Anyone with eyes in their head can see that Lo Celso is quality.
From Ali gold in an article just now
Should both players depart then it will free up funds to look for another playmaker to ease the burden that will be placed on Lo Celso.
Spurs and Mourinho would love to sign Bruno Fernandes. Tottenham had all but agreed a deal with the player in the summer but hadn't agreed a fee with Sporting, particularly with the lack of movement with Eriksen.
Mourinho is a big fan of the Portugal star and Spurs are looking at him once again, with the prospect of Juan Foyth heading the other way on loan.
However, the fear is that United will outmuscle Tottenham financially if both sides go head to head for the £60m player who started for Lisbon, and scored twice, on Saturday night
I think I remember Bruno saying he'd rather get the right move than the best money.Who are the two players to leave to free up funds? Eriksen and Foyth?
Have to agree re man Utd, we could never offer what they will so all on Jose to convince him we're a better option
I agree that Lo Celso is a quality player. And I agree that wasting funds is definitely what we SHOULDN'T do, but, does Mourinho rate Lo Celso? Concerning that Eriksen has consistently started ahead of him. There's an argument that he's not what Mourinho wants.More than that - we're not going to waste a £14.4m loan fee (figure taken from transfermarkt).

I genuinely have no idea what Mourinho is seeing in Eriksen and not seeing in Lo Celso at the moment. Eriksen has been dreadful for ages now, but every time Lo Celso gets on the pitch stuff starts happeneing and the intensity shoots up.
I think you may be right. Could be tactical too. It's completely unrealistic to think that Mourinho can't see the difference between what each of the two players are bringing to the team right now, so there must be a reason.
I can see only two things that make any kind of sense.
Either Lo Celso isn't fit enough to last more than 45 minutes or so (this applies to Lamela also) or Mourinho wants Eriksen's experience of the league on the pitch while Lo Celso gets half an hour a game for a while to get used to the league.
Bearing in mind that Eriksen's experience of the league isn't doing us any favours, I'm inclined to think that maybe Lo Celso isn't quite ready to cope with the intensity of a full 90 minutes yet.

Against Bayern and Norwich, Lo Celso wasn't particularly great, that can be put down to him getting used to his role with us.
You have to remember that Eriksen is used to working defensively, running off the ball, whereas Lo Celso may not be just yet. You can get away with taking a breather in La Liga & for PSG. In the PL it requires non-stop running and tracking

. Maybe Eriksen is in the shop window til the end of this window though.
If it's a case of thinking Lo Celso can't make 90 minutes, I'd rather see him play from the start and see how far he gets before he needs to be subbed. Bringing him on for the odd 15 minutes here and there is denying him the opportunity to get up to speed in favour of Eriksen who quite obviously has other things on his mind. Maybe Eriksen is in the shop window til the end of this window though. If that's the case I hope he gets kicked to the curb in favour of GLC if he's still here when the window closes.
