People who dont understand our set up and how our tactics nullified their game just dont understand football.

Probably the same people who criticize Mayweather in boxing and say "Stop dancing around and just windmill the other guy."

The whole point was to give them possession but stop them using it effectively which we mainly did. Then counter attack them which we did well. If Son and GLC had scored people would have called it a tactical masterclass to get a win.

We did? Gazzaniga had a series of great saves, Tanganga clearing on the line, the post in the first minutes

I dont go in for moral victories but I feel a lot better about today than Soton. I may tune in for the next match. I skipped the first Boro game.

Sat with some Liverpool mates including one with his A badge. They were actually impressed with the way Spurs played and commented that they thought Jose's tactics were spot on. When asked if they thought we were parking the bus, they laughed and said "No, this is nothing like we've seen and we're experts on recognizing it!"

Given how outclassed we were player by player, it was a much better performance than expected and better than the performances over the last few games. GLC had some poor moments but had some equally strong ones and was stronger than Eriksen. Tanganga looked quite composed especially given his age and who he was up against. Moura was once again Moura. Creating chances that no one else could and then losing the ball like no one else could. I know it isn't a popular opinion but a forward's responsibility is to create chances even if it means losing the ball. He is a handful and it's pretty certain that opposing defenders don't look forward to playing him.

You have to think that we already hit bottom and are on our way up. Not a good result, but several steps in the right direction with the exception of our finishing

Sick of rocking up to this joint, having good opportunities, not taking them, and then losing due to a stupid goal. Ffs

Tells you how far we've regressed. Being proud of losing at home. I can understand not being furious, but proud. Sorry, but that's something a Norwich fan could feel
I disagree. Liverpool are an awesome team and - given our shittiness over the past year - I think we genuinely scared them at times; they made a number of errors ‘cos we put the wind up them. I don’t believe they deserved the win. A draw would’ve been a fairer result. For me, best performance under Maureen so far.

This point so much. We're not plucky spurs happy with not getting a mauling. They have only finished above us three times out of the last 10 seasons, no way should they be ahead of us. It's embarrassing that we as fans have this roll over for Liverpool mentality. Yes there were positives to the second half, namely the argentines, but I'm furious with the loss.
Not sure where you've been for the last 12 months but that exactly what we are atm.
Anyone thinking we're any different is deluded.

Oh ffs putting the right starting lineup is part of the tactics. Stop saying Mourinho got the tactics right. We were completely dominated for 70 minutes until he actually changed the tactic
If we played this game under Pochettino we'd have 'had a go' and got swept aside 3 or 4 nil rather than have any chance at nicking a point and quite easily all 3.

Well... that was a hell of a lot less painful than I thought it was going to be. Think we played well and didn't take enough of our chances but it was better than I've seen for a while.

Alli was a mix today some good some bad, nothing postive to say on the other two, particularly Eriksen who again was disgustingly bad.

Was he that good?
8 clearances, 1 goal line clearance, 1 block, 2 interceptions, 2 tackles, 3 ground duels won, 2 aerial duels won and an 80% pass completion playing in 2/3 different positions (rb and lb in back 4 and rcb in back 3) on his debut against the best team in the league. Pretty decent

Mourinho should never start Eriksen or Rose ever again.

Positives:
Tanganga was fantastic for the most part.
Lo Celso and Lamela made us look like a different team.
Players for the most part showed great energy and determination.

Alli seriously needs to be benched. Eriksen and Rose need to go.
