He's getting close to losing this, and this is not down to an improvement, but to the abject performances from our number 20

I don't actually think Aurier's been that bad lately, but once people's minds are made they'll see what they want to see and delete the rest.

The chance he had today when the cross came in and he tried the fancy flick rather than just get on the end of it and score sums him up for me. So many times in our build up play he slows it all down and kills any momentum we have. Or he tries a flick and it doesn’t come off and that kills our momentum.

Needs a rest and refocus. Won’t happen but is should.

Where has the fight, the aggression and the bit of nasty gone? I think he needs to get that back, charge about, bash into people, piss them off, get the crowd going.

This current version just isn't firing and I think it's more than a lack of talent or laziness.

I see people have found their new scapegoat ?
Right! Can't believe these folks call themselves 'supporters' and all they wanna do is point out what a player did wrong. So why don't you go ahead balance out this witchhunt and regale us with his positives from today. We'll wait.

What is this standing over the ball like a statue and swinging his right leg back like a golf club bullshit he's been pulling for the last 12 months?

He must be a fucking beast in training because I honestly can't make head nor tail of what the coaches are seeing on the pitch. Barely runs with the ball now and Dele's strength used to be his running and catching defenders out.

Absolute shadow of the player we signed along with his mate Dier.

I think Dele is a good player, but I'm not sure why he's back to playing deep and collecting the ball like he did under Poch. He needs to be playing further up the pitch in a forward position like he did at the start of Mourinho's term. His strength is being a handful in the box and making intelligent runs and being a target man, something he didn't do all game. If he does this, I think he's a great asset, if not, he's rubbish. He's just not the traditional creative 10 he thinks he is.

I obviously don't know but that seems a bit of a lazy response. What is interesting to me is that we have a whole bunch of players who we know can do better (because we've seen it with our very own eyes) and yet it's not just one or two struggling, it's most of them.

Therefore, I think there is more to the drop in standards by Dele (and Dier, Jan, Toby, Eriksen, Winks etc etc etc) than a bit of an attitude problem - perhaps they can't or don't want to do what the manager is asking of them?

Unfortunately nowadays it's easier to point out what Dele does right. He needs dropped and that's no witch hunt, he's not doing enough on the field of play to be a certain starter.

The funny thing is, if we did have him up for sale, City and Liverpool definitely wouldn't be interested. Chelsea very unlikely, the only team possibly sniffing would be United because they are really average in the transfer market. This tells a lot about his quality.

You put Kane, Bale, Modric up for sale. Every club in the league or nearly the world will show interest.

Now i wish he would stop playing like he thinks he is in that bracket, because he is so far from that it's a joke.

I think we have a few world class players, but very few are players who can play well on their own.

Toby will look crap if he's next to and behind someone being crap.
Alli will look crap if no one is creating movement or runs around him.
Kane will look crap if no one is giving him the ball or creating chances etc.

Alli isn't world class, no matter what movement is infront of him.

Kane is world class, Son has a shout, Verts, Toby and Hugo were, Dele? Nah.

Dele’s flicks are more cringeworthy than a bloke on the beach with ginger dreads playing wonderwall on an acoustic guitar.

I wish somebody would tell him how embarrassing he was.

In the first half, he had the chance to score from an Aurier cross, and he decided to use his heel instead of trying to strike the ball like a normal person.
It wouldn't be a problem if it weren't something he does every fucking game

On his day he is brilliant, but it seems like he was playing better when Jose came in and he was trying to cement himself in the starting 11. His play has become complacent, needs some competition for his place to up his game.

Thing is he wasn’t ‘playing better’ when Jose came. He just scored a few goals which masked the other deficiencies in his game. This is has been the issue with how his whole career has been judged -because he scored a lot when he burst onto the scene he was incredibly overhyped. And it appears now the rest of his game hasn’t developed. He struggles to make simple passes most of the time.

I do like him - I like his nasty streak and I like that he is always looking to make runs into the box and get on the end of things. My issue is this assertion that he’s some kind of playmaker when he has no ability to control tempo or make intelligent passes. He is simply a ‘forward’ and when he plays we are basically set up as a 442 meaning we’re always overran in midfield.

Poch had it right playing him left of the attacking 3 in a 4231 or as a second striker in a 343. Hopefully Jose sees sense before it is too late.

The highlighted bit, could it be that he is just following his managers instructions? Even the flicks and tricks are part of what make him who he is - who else would have scored the goal against Palace however many million years ago that was?

Dele Alli world class....in what? Because I swear your not talking about football.

Maybe Fortnite...he is pretty good shooting up 12 year olds online but apparently barely wins as he takes too much time when in a good position to choose what weapon to use...standard!
