Hiring Sherwood is up there.

Indeed. Tim's antics, frankly, could have filled an entire thread of their own. But, for me, the stand-out moment of his reign came on 30 March 2014. Any lesser man might have entertained the notion that his idea to watch the game from the stands was not in fact a managerial masterstroke, but rather a brazenly obtuse piece of theatre that left him even more disrespected by the fans than before, were such a thing possible. But not our Tim. What an utter twonk he was, bless him. This chant will live long in the memory...

And of course:

  • Failing to close the deals for Luis Suarez, Eden Hazard and Sadio Mane
  • Not investing in the squad during the January 2011 or 2012 windows (we wouldn't have won the title with either but we'd have got CL football)
  • Redknapp's disastrous tactics away at Arsenal in Feb 2012 which allowed the tide to turn
  • Hiring AVB
  • Signing Soldado, Paulinho and Chiriches
  • Going to Upton Park for the final time in March 2016 knowing their fans would be up for it and knowing that we'd go top of the league with a win, and then starting Trippier, Wimmer, Davies, Mason and Chadli and leaving Walker, Rose, Son and Alli on the bench.
  • Son at LWB in the FA Cup semi-final.
  • Failing to sign a single player for 18 months after half our squad was knackered from long World Cup campaigns
  • Leaving Lucas on the bench in the Champions League final

No signings in 2018 for me too. I think about the impact it had on us even up to now. We've slipped so far since then and seem to be trying to catch up still. To think we were above Liverpool at the time and then they had a great window and look at them now. I would have said losing the CL final but the fact we allowed Liverpool to jump above us was the result of them winning it.

That was a bad result remember being on holiday started watching the game and see us go 2-0 after about 15-20 minutes, got up and walked out you could see the normal service had resumed.

Yep, that tosspot adiepf made a thread called “sack him” or something and told everyone the world was ending. We beat Arsenal in midweek and Chelsea the following weekend or something.

Gomes made the save of the decade against Arsenal.
