For me Moura is just proving what I thought from his beginning at Spurs very in and out mostly non existent and an impact player at best .
Ajax and the odd goal here and there does not cut it for me but the Burnley game was a template for him to make a huge impact but as you can see after the Chelsea game he cannot for some reason put in back to back performances .
As for Dier he is just not cutting it any more and for me Winks all day long and please can we have some of the players not given a real chance up to now / Foyth /Sess / Le Celso /Ndombele .
I have a suspicion that Jose is just testing the water regards Aurier/Dier / Moura /and all three foe me have been an abject failure barring one good performance from each of these and one good performance in 5or 6 games is not good enough.
He will I am sure deduced that these three must not be regular starters as for Sissoko I think its just a case of finding his best position to get the best out of him.

If we’re going to see changes this season in terms of team selection/formation then it will surely come in the next few fixtures. What we had seemed to be working in the short term so I can see the logic in not changing too much too fast, but the performance against Chelsea suggests now is the time. If we see a largely similar line up against Brighton and Norwich then I suspect we’ll likely carry on that way until next summer. The team news for Thursday will be revealing. I’m hoping for a few changes, we’ll see.

He really isn't. Winks stinks up the place just as much and has had an extended run in the side under Poch and proved he isn't good enough. It seems JM has cottoned on quite quickly that Winks is shite. He was garbage at United just weeks ago. Classic case of players getting better when they are out of the team.

If Winks can't get into the side ahead of Dier and Sissoko, I would start to look for another club because how can you come back from that. JM must think he is terrible. It is telling that he took Dier off at half time for Eriksen, he clearly feels Winks neither offers what Dier does defensively, nor offers anything creatively. Something I've been saying for ages.

Moura is a very good player. Concluding he’s an impact player at best when Son, Alli and Kane were also diabolical against Chelsea and have also failed to turn up on multiple other occasions doesn’t translate as let’s just pick on Moura.

Winks all day long? He was dreadful during his last outing and has also gone missing on other occasions this season.

Individually we’ve some very good to superb players but it’s our tactics and mentality that’s killing our game play and not the quality of the players. If and when everyone’s settled and fit, Sissoko and Winks won’t get near the 1st team. Dier will keep his place up until we sign a competent replacement.

Teeside1 firmly disagrees with all of my views which goes to show what I have always said and that is one mans ceiling is another mans floor
The only thing I will come back on is Winks and Southgate has said how important he is to England . I believe that played further forward he would be excellent for us and as for the rest we all have views that differ who right who's wrong who knows the truth is out there somewhere lets hope Jose can fix our issues.

I don't think Brighton have parked the bus once this season, that's not how Potter wants them to play. They had 46% possession at the Etihad!

I'd go with:

Foyth Toby Sanchez Rose
Ndombele Winks
Lo Celso Dele Sessegnon
Kane

Lamela & Eriksen off the bench if needed.

i think we’ll barely see any changes for this one. looking forward to seeing Dier/Sissoko CM partnership, and Aurier the right back disaster again.

assume sess or lo celso will replace Son.

a 3-1 win to paper over the cracks.

They won’t be parking the bus, have you seen them play this season? This won’t be an easy game.

Agree with all of that.
Optimistic that Jose isn’t stupid though and he knows where we need to strengthen the squad

I think it’ll be:

——————Gazzaniga
Aurier—-Toby——Sanchez——Jan
—————Dier——Ndombele
Sissoko———Dele———Moura
——————Kane

Subs: Vorm, Foyth, Rose, Winks, Lo Celso, Eriksen, Sessegnon

Yep, I'd be surprised if they didn't come and try and play football, they're a good passing team. Will be a tough game for sure but those circumstances may end up helping us still.

I think we'll play shit. They'll have more of the ball and more shots but we're better at taking our chances so we will win 2.1. I hope.
