Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has claimed the club are not “scared” of selling Christian Eriksen to a domestic rival in January.

Lots to digest from these latest Levy quotes. Doesn't look we are not going to spend much, if any, next month. Well at least going by what Levy just said anyway.
Disappointing to read. Happy to help out a rival but once again we won't strengthen ourselves.
Not sure what you expect, we have no bargaining power. Rivals can get him for nothing in 6 months, why not get a fee for him early? That will help with strengthenng ourselves.
The Levy specialDisappointing to read. Happy to help out a rival but once again we won't strengthen ourselves.
I don't really care Eriksen going. It's more the fact that Levy is distancing himself from spending in Jan and his excuse will be 'Jose said on record that he only wants to work with his team.' I've heard that one spouted about before.
We actually do. Our CM and defense is nowhere near good enough.January signings are generally desperate or opportunistic (Moura).
We don’t need any new players in January; we currently have at least 2 first teamers in the stands on matchday as it is.
Our performances & results since Jose arrived prove that we have enough in the squad to achieve this season’s target(s).

True: it's obviously going to be a case of if someone special suddenly becomes available for the right price then maybe but otherwise clearly expectations will need to be tempered. When have we ever spent much money in January? Moura we got for 25m in Jan 2018 because PSG had to sell. Before that was Dele for 5m in 2015. I've no idea why some people are suddenly expecting anything different.

And it's notoriously difficult to buy in Jan for most teams unless you're a City, Chelsea etc. Teams don't wanna sell then, unless it's for ridiculous money. When have we ever spent much money in January? I think Levy's trying to drum up a bit of interest to raise his fee, get a bidding war going. I'm sure he wouldn't want to sell to a rival.Disappointing to read. Happy to help out a rival but once again we won't strengthen ourselves.

On recent form it would be a good move.Weakening a rival
