January signings are generally desperate or opportunistic (Moura).
We don’t need any new players in January; we currently have at least 2 first teamers in the stands on matchday as it is.
Our performances & results since Jose arrived prove that we have enough in the squad to achieve this season’s target(s).

You almost had me there mate. You do know sarcasm is the lowest form of intelligence

When have we ever spent much money in January? Moura we got for 25m in Jan 2018 because PSG had to sell. Before that was Dele for 5m in 2015. I've no idea why some people are suddenly expecting anything different.

Ever the optimists, eh?

The trouble with selling to a rival is that, as sure as eggs are eggs, the twat will return to all-conquering form.

Let’s forget about our own record in January for a moment. What are other teams history in terms of a big January signing that truly came in and made an immediate difference?

Truth is spurs are desperate to sell Erikssen to anyone. Normally we wouldn't sell to EPL rival but in this case.....

I don't think Eriksen will go anywhere until he's a free agent with all the negotiating power.

And you would think he will have already agreed a deal in principle for the summer

Not much to see here. Must be a poor attempt from Levy to tell the world that he wants to sell Eriksen. No surprise in that. He has no power. The only thing he can hope for, is a club that Eriksen likes pays a fee in jan to secure his services right away.

I don't think it will help much though. He will still go on a free with all the power, playing time or not. He wants a new challenge that is not in the PL, so not sure why everyone keeps mentioning their names all the time as it's irrelevant.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Can't blame the guy - that's his perogative. Personally I don't think that even a massive pay rise would have made a difference - obviously the pay day that he will get from being a free agent is a factor but I think that trophies are the overriding motivation.

Agree. And again it has never been about money for Christian.

Trophies, a new challenge and some better weather I think :joyful:

I wish that more of our players would take a chance and ply their trade aboard if they get the chance. More seem to than 20 years ago but British players seem a bit parochial compared to Europeans.
