I was one of those who held a glimmer of hope that our poor start to the season was a glitch where we would eventually turn the corner with some convincing performances and results. Dream on! There was no Eriksen to blame for this woeful performance. Truth be told Sheffield United were the better side in terms of passing, positioning and general industrious team play. At this rate we cannot be considered a top six side and will never be considered one until something drastic is done to change the status quo.

Son, GLC, and Dele put in a shift. Everyone else performed from a range of average to shocking. Dier and Davies reminding everyone that they are not good enough for this level. Majority of our problems stemmed from their poor passing, positioning, turnovers, and confidence. Dier responsible for both goals and could have been sent off in the first half. Add them to the clear out list.

Poch in the 85th min realising he needs to put Moura on because we're not winning

Gazza - good I guess
Aurier - useless
Davinson - soooo bad on the ball
Dier - terrible game
Davies - completely bang average player
Sissoko - the sooner we have a true DM the better, runs and can do little else
Ndombele - :(
Dele - mostly poor, so many bad touches and give aways but made some good passes towards the end. Overall not good enough again
Son - gives his all game in game out, our only threat today
Lo Celso - looks promising
Kane - looks like he's running in sand

Foyth - one of our most active players when pushing at the end
Winks - meh as always, cross field passes consistently inaccurate, can't even move the ball quickly anymore. Shocking how many of you rated him highly.
Lucas - tried and looked dangerous

All in all its not at all surprising to see how we've fallen when you look at the names in that team. Aurier, Gazza, Dier, Sissoko & unfortunately probably Davinson & Dele are just not as good as their predecessors (Dele himself has gone backwards)

Gazzaniga 7
Davies 4
Aurier 6
Sanchez 8- was good
Dier 2- couldn't defend, couldn't pass
Foyth 7

Sissoko 5
NDombele 5
Winks 6
Lo celso 7
Dele 5
Son 7
Kane 5
Lucas 6

With vertonghen, Toby, eriksen and wanyama done there's a ton of money that needs spending on replacing that 4 .

Gazzaniga - Meh.

Aurier - Shite in attack, the non-goal his defending and urgency to get out and stop the cross was woeful.

Sanchez - Typical Sanchez really. Some decent recoveries occasionally, mixed with plenty of silly stuff with and without the ball because he doesn't his engage his brain enough.

Dier - Don't know why he continued to try and hit laser-like passes with his left foot. Credit for trying, but at some point you have to realise you cant do it.....

Davies - Watching him play football is a soul destroying experience. This trundler has survived six seasons at this football club, let that sink in......

Sissoko - Regressing again this season, offered fuck all with and without the ball.

NDombele - Got a knock early on, was statuesque after that.

Lo Celso - Does battle away but is a bit of a trundler , and also very one footed and slows play down at times. Glimpses of quality but always going to be a bit lost in games like this with zero control.

Alli - Pathetic.

Son - Presented with a goal, had one good cross, the other 99.8% of the time also pathetic.

Kane - Captain Invisible, leading from the front.

Subs:

Foyth - Bad first involvement, ok after that.

Winks - Bad first involvement, ok after that.

Moura - One decent shot.

Poch/Tactics - Didn't have a left side all game, in attack or defence which eventually got exposed. Yet again struggle against a team that presses in organised fashion. Yet again lacking ideas, several players' technique shown up, and carrying passengers. Oh dear.

can't pass, no passion or fight, and no interest.

they look scared

VAR saved them getting their equaliser earlier, so no 1 knows what the score would have been after.

Only person to escape with any sort of credit is GLC.

We were gifted a goal and then gifted a bullshit offside decision, well and truly played off the park today. As embarrassing as Brighton, even if the score doesn't indicate so.

SU have been excellent this season. Look at their defensive record.

Given the form.that spurs have been in, I took this as a.step forward today. Which I agree is a sign of how far spurs have fallen form wise.

Ain't no quick fix for this.

We lack a serious CM someone who protects the defence, that could have Dier today with Toby back in as CB. Dier is not a left sided centre back. It’s a worry that we have 4 right-sided CB’s and only one left sided.

Anyway

Gazza, Sanchez, LeCelso, Alli, Son, winks were all Par

Kane, Ndombele, Aurier, Foyth were below par

Dier (played in wrong position), Davies and Moura (net) were poor
