Sorry but Aurier’s tackle broke his leg. If you go to twitter you can still see pictures galore of his foot full on Gomes’ ankle, full weight. None was on purpose, it was bad luck, but I’m pretty sure it was the second tackle as he fell that broke things.
Have you heard none of the stuff they’ve been saying on sky, the ankle broke when it got stuck in the turf nothing to do with Aurier

No, that's completely wrong. Most of the youtube vids have already been blocked by the PL, but if you can find one that hasn't been, take another look.

Son's tackle caused Gomes to stumble. As Gomes did so, he landed badly and the leg was broken before he fell into Aurier.

Not the best angle or the clearest picture, but you can see here at 02 seconds in if you stop the film that the leg is broken before there is any contact between Gomes and Aurier.

I been looking at pictures that show his ankle looked fine with Aurier’s foot full on front of the joint. No I haven’t been listening to bloody sky lol. I thought I’d try find videos and pics and that’s what the pics look like. I’ll try and get one on here but I have no idea how to.

Why did Son put his hand up?

Saying he didnt commit the foul?

Calling for help for Gomes

Saying he was sorry?

maybe they the ref and or Var may have read it as an admission

Depends how much soft tissue damage he's done. It could be worse than a break. Similar to Lloris with his elbow.

Even when there’s pretty hard evidence showing neither Son nor Aurier did anything malicious, still a small number of our own damn fans are keen to blame it on Aurier in particular.

Fucking embarrassing.

I saw a photo of the injury close up on twitter, assuming it's gomes in the photo, I think it's a full break.

Big shame for Gomes and hopefully having Coleman as his captain will help inspire his recovery.

The game was abysmal, with two teams almost completely devoid of invention or ability. Everton have deeper problems that we do I reckon, mainly because their recruitment in attacking positions has been poor. At least we have Kane, Son and one or two (like Alli) who've done it before. Walcott, Iwobi, Tosun, Calvert-Lewin.....not much to work with there and they should surely be getting Kean in the mix asap??

For us, it's almost as if we've been drilled so much about where to be when we don't have possession that we don't bother to break that mold when we do. We're tentative, playing by numbers, and there doesn't appear to be any hunger or drive to score goals. It's awful to watch. It's AVB footy. And Eriksen should probably be sat on the bench now for a good long spell.

We have a long way to go to make anything of this season. I'd say a top 4 spot is a pipe dream because you can't just turn this around so quickly that we'd close a gap on Leicester and Chelsea.

I didn’t see the game but followed it on here.

After the game Poch said he thought the team’s performance was “good” and he was happy with “the energy”.

Oh I think he may have said he was “calm” too.

Maybe the game looked different from the touchline??

We seem to have really bad luck at the moment.

We would have won that with 11 men and would have taken a lot of confidence from it.

Now we are back to square one with 2 emotionally damaged players.

11 v 11, we created 4 shots. And I kinda agree with Poch that the intensity was decent enough, it's just so strange to see so many good players not being able to create anything. The only one willing to make creative passes was Ndombele, but he didn't have the best of games.

Not a fan of singling out single players when the team as a whole is struggling, but an Eriksen so devoid of confidence is painful to watch. Him jumping away from challenges and getting skinned one on one bly fucking Gylfi Sigurdsson is something we can live with when he brings his best stuff to the table in other aspects of the game, but now? Really can't understand why Sessegnon didn't come on about 10 minutes sooner to at least bring some fresh legs.

Just watched the game. A few thoughts, if a tactical foul is a red card, then Liverpool and Man City should be down to seven every match. Son clearly taps the ankles and Gomes lands badly, while colliding with Aurier. I watched in slow mo! Stop making in it something it wasn’t! The fact Son was sent of is scandalous! The performance was awful again, why on earth is Eriksen playing? How much longer has Poch got? He seems clueless.

To be fair (and I might get hammered for this) the energy was there. The players were all trying. It was a lack of quality that made the game so poor.

As people have said in the Son thread though, it’s unlikely to be overturned
