Believe it or not, and I’m beginning to feel silly for thinking this, but I put Poch on a higher pedestal than many. He’s doing his best to prove it all wrong

Who cares? I care that he spent two hours sportswashing a country that has slaves, treats women as second class citizens, has appalling human rights and kills people in the name of building football stadiums without a second thought.

Shame on him, he’s as bad as Guardiola.

Guardiola probably has to do it as part of being a City manager. Poch however..?

Apparently he’s said he’s backed by his friend Daniel Levy.

Let’s see shall we.

The players will react to that in one of two ways and I think I know which. More of the same.

Well it's pretty simple, the games against Watford and Liverpool will tell us all we need to know.

To be fair, Liverpool got a lucky break when a desperate Barca overpaid for Coutinho , a player who they want rid of now. The fee received for Coutinho distorts the figures.

So do the fees we got for players like Wimmer. We can't pretend we haven't had the rub of green in fees received

I think we will lose both.

Here’s the quotes

“We maintain a very good relationship and it is extraordinary to have that support.
"I have always told him that, in addition to my chairman, I consider him a friend.

I'd we lose both you still think he'll have Levy's support?

I think we will lose both.

Most likely, and then there'll be 10 points up to the Europa League places.

Won't be long until Poch's win ratio drop below AVBs total at Spurs. 1.2% above now.

After the collapse last season, our win ratio for the rest of the league campaign was at 25%, so far this season it's at 37.5%. Giving us a 30% win ratio since we met the wall 20 games ago.
Juande Ramos had 38.18% at Spurs.
Steve Bruce is the worst of all time in the Premier League among those that have a managed for a longer time, he's at 38.3%

I'll be honest, if I was offered a couple of mill to go over there and waffle on about how great they are I'd probably do it.
If I was earning £8m per year, im not so sure....strange move by Poch tbh.

Can not believe so many of you would like Poch gone. Have u all forgotten what he has done for us? Taken us so far with limited resources and u all are calling for him to be sacked? After what 8 games, you all need to wobble your heads abit and just think of how we were before he took over. We need to give him the season, champions league qualification or not his earnt it.

Well then, the mistake you made is thinking that Spurs are somehow morally superior to other clubs.

Everyone here is on high moral ground and criticizing poch for the gig in qatar.
First of all we have some sort of collab with the institute and send our players for rehab. I think winks and dembs. No one said anything about it.

Plus we do go to china and us for playing games there but have you thought about Ughur issue in china and us bombing innocent people all over the world? Well uk is the part of it too with US.

If you want to be on high moral ground then consider everyone same not be selective about it.

Same argument can be used against the Levy/Enic out brigade.

Look how far they've taken us. But that argument is shot down by numerous people on here and elsewhere

I'm neither Poch In/Out or Enic In/Out. I just want us to start winning football games again

Guardiola was in bed with the Qataris long before he took over at City. I assume it goes all the way back to when he was playing over there.

I must have missed Poch’s lecture on what China is doing for the world of football.

People have an excuse for everything, no one can have morals because everyone is complicit. Sorry, I don’t agree.

Never thought the club was, we have had some of the dodgiest owners in the league at one time or another, and I have no doubt ENIC would sell to anyone who ponied up the cash, but yes I did think Poch was different. He presents himself as thus. A mistake, you’re right. As I said in my post. I once said I’d never trust anyone in football again and he proved me a right sap. But thanks for the fantastic insight

Just seen these quotes from Dier, one of the players we were led to believe he’d fallen out with. Interesting.

Eric Dier was even more forthright, suggesting rumours of unrest in the camp were misguided. “A lot of stuff from the outside is very far from reality,” said the England defender.
When asked if it was wrong to suggest players were unsettled and this team was coming to the end of a cycle, Dier replied: “I know that is not the case.
“It’s natural these things should come up because of the situation we find ourselves in, but we can’t back down from it, This is the worst period we have been in, but like we are doing now, we have to be together and push through it. It is on all of us, and only we can change it.”

Ok, fair enough, but there are a number of fans who do seem to think that about our club. As far as Poch goes, I still think he’s a decent chap.

Technically, he took us from 4th/5th to 4th/3rd - we had an upward trajectory in the league, but that was a few seasons ago and we've been dipping since. The way some of these types of posts have been written would suggest he did some sort of Nigel Adkins/Nigel Pearson type ascent from the lower divisions.

After what 8 games

No - I'd say it's after 30-something games. However many we've played in 2019. No one in the Premier League has lost more games than us in 2019. The issue is that it's getting worse, not recovering.

You all need to wobble your heads abit and just think of how we were before he took over.

As per the first bit, where were we? 6th. Our lowest finish in 5 seasons at that time. Harry Kane had finished the season strongly, and despite having Sherwood at the helm, we finished the season equally, if not better, than some other seasons since. That's not a "Tim was brilliant" (he wasn't) appraisal, nor is it "Poch has done nothing for us" (he has) - it's a balanced statement of fact. For those who would make this statement, can we clarify the contrast?
