He was gravy in the first half. Effortless movement, vision, creativity for the most part. So fluid. He looked very much like the trequartista that Poche and we crave.

But when we needed to pull our socks up in the second half he literally didn't know where to go. At one point I saw Kane angrily pointing at where he wanted to Dele to go, and Dele was shrugging. He then floated into somewhere around the centre circle and lost all influence on the game.

He was rightly hooked.
Fair enough he will need games to get up to speed. But on another note i don't feel he is our main worry we have so many other problems pressing. For me its very simply with Dele his gaining fitness and needs more confidence.

What ever. Look at Gnarby. We all now Alli has the talent. You can't judge Dele on that team performance, what was he suppose to do? Son had many chances and should of scored a hat trick in the first half. You compare his finishing to BM
Gnabry is direct and pacey... unfortunately Dilly Dally isn't

Somebody needs to sit him down and tell him that his game needs to be massively simplified- go back to what he was doing 2-3 years ago. He's a Lampard not a Hazard. He's trying too hard with all these tricks, flicks and dribbles that have a 10% chance of ever coming off for him.

Lol. Son scored yes but missed loads. I am starting to get the hate Alli campaign because unfortunately if he's not scoring people like your good self can't work him out.

Why are you talking about people haiting Alli? There is a possibilty people just don´t think he is good enough.

Not basing just on yesterday, I just don't think he's that good. If he's not scoring its like playing with 10 men as he's totally ineffective 90% of the time. Yea he gets a few assists but it's not enough for a top team imo.

Also love the excuses people throw out for Dele. Not fit enough, playing too deep, playing too high, playing too wide, not playing close enough to Kane, it's almost endless. How about he gets back to basics and try controlling the ball and finding teammates without attempting something fancy.

Confidence is completely shot. You could see it in his face when he came off.

I still rate Dele. But he's completely taken the one thing out of his game that made him good to begin with. He should be in and around the box and utilize his off-ball movement. Playing off the striker rather than constantly wanting the ball at his feet as he's doing at the moment. It's like he's trying to be a Ronaldinho while all along he is and will always be a Müller.

He's not a Lampard either.

He’s awful nowadays. Regressed massively. People applauding him because he controls a long ball or does a 20 yard pass into space.

He’s so slow. Dawdles in the ball. His work rate is shocking. Didn’t track a runner first half when Bayern could have scored.

I strongly suspect he is one player who isn’t playing for Poch anymore. He looks indifferent to it all and very unmotivated and unfocused.

Your talking as if Alli can’t control the ball or doesn’t pass to a teammate. What’s it been now he’s third game of the season. People making excuses well his injury record isn’t made up. It’s ok for people not to rate him ( who the hell am I ) but if you really want to be seen as just take Son performance against BM do you think he should of scored more goals?

I just don't rate him, in centre midfield he's a liability, and as a 10 he doesn't do enough. Just my opinion.

What is his best position?

He may have taken being injured for England at World Cup 2018 and been dispirited by it and what he wasn't able to do in that period when Russia had been talked of as a platform for his play. A couple of injury episodes last season denied him playing opportunities for both club and country in key games. He wasn't playing and not fit enough to train in those photos the club website showed before each match. I guess he felt marginal and a bit unloved.

So I've been pleased to see him physically able again and looking to play. I was pleased to see Dele on the pitch last night and appreciated his link-up play in various moves where the team was really competing. Gradually he'll be match-fit enough to be sharper for longer as matches unfold.

Fair enough you're entitled to your opinion. Can I just say liability is way too strong, I'm honestly not trying to make excuses for him but he was injured for a long time the team isn't playing that well throughout and I feel he need time...just my opinion.

I think the big point to note is that Son made those runs and created those opportunities. Even when he's off form, Son contributes to the team, stretches the opposition, and will always be a threat with his pace. Dele offered none of that. He's been a passenger and hugely ineffective for quite some time now. Whether it's because he's playing through injury or not, I don't know. But if he's still injured, he shouldn't be out there.

I'd take a Son or a Lamela every day of the week over a Dele or an Eriksen, simply because when things aren't going well.. you need players who fight. Who continue to run their socks off. Who put their foot in.

Eriksen shirks every challenge that comes his way. Dele sticks a toe in and hopes for the best. These players look brilliant when we're playing well as a team, but right now, we need fighters.

We need technically good players, players that can win games it not all about fighting and running about. Sorry to call out Son again but he made runs got into position was found each time however missed a lot was he clinical enough no but did score. Dele was running pressing and contributed well in the first half up until the game got the better of him in the second half.
He clearly needs more games, to be honest, I'm happy that his been slowly coming back rather than just thrown into the team as before and getting injured again. Moura came on Lamela came on there wasn't much difference (not blaming them) . BM killed us
