It's crazy how things can change so quickly in football. A year or two ago I would've laughed if you'd told me that we'd be calling for Pochettino's head now, with our most talented team in my lifetime - a team that could only get better. After all, we'd not really achieved what we were capable of yet. Surely it couldn't end before the seemingly inevitable success we'd been building towards.

The most telling part for me is the level of discontent in the squad, how certain players seem to be almost bigger than the team. It's almost come full circle since Poch was brought in to clear out the "bad eggs" and rebuild the team from the foundations up. Now it seems like someone else will have to come in and do the same thing. Rinse and repeat. We'll never learn.
Except this time we are in a position to bring in a manager with the clout to get the "bad eggs" back in line. Not that I believe we have any tossers on the scale of Adebayor etc. at this moment in time.

Despite everything going on around Toby, he’s been one of our most solid performers, and who would you even replace him with

Solid individual isn't helping us. He is not leading the defence. Olmpiakos, Arsenal and Bayern.... Winning positions thrown away by shit defending. What job is it to control that defence? Toby and Jan. Toby played more and is still conceding goals. We need CBs that can lead the defence.

For me he’s got to be given the next couple of league games. If we get done at Brighton then fair enough I suppose but he’s got to have that game at least, surely?

If there is a rift with him and some of the players about the system perhaps tonight will be the thing that breaks his stubbornness.

Sanchez and Dier. Right now, something needs to change at the back. Don't care how bad they are, something needs to be given a go
The fullbacks have a much bigger effect on the defence than I think you realise, if toby and jan have to cover them aswell as their own men, it’s always going to end in disaster

This has been coming, we’ve defended awfully for ages, we could and should’ve let in 10 away to Man City earlier this season. Something is very wrong.

I think Poch's frustration with Levy has outdone himself here. There is so much negativity around the club but a lot of this has come from him. First time I think we've booed us fans in a long time. Players haven't explicitly said let's go and Levy hasn't been crowing.

I feel an element of sympathy for him as it's something us fans share when we're surrounded by the city and Chelseas of the world but he has blown it out of proportion leading him to lose players and fans.

I'll be sorry to see him go whatever happens, I'm still confident he can steer us to 4th however but it may be time for a change soon. The diamond idiocy was there for all to see

Writing on the wall for months. Rose and Aurier both told they can leave in summer - now starting champions league games. No replacements identified. Squad issues not addressed for 3 seasons. It’s all unfolding now and nothing can be done for 3 months. A long winter ahead!

I feel like the Burnley away game broke Poch with Mike Dean incident. It all seemed to spiral out of control from there, apart from our amazing CL run.

I love the man and what he has done with this team has been nothing short of amazing. Lets be honest we have had some bang average players in the past few years that have been improved by Poch. But we have also got some very talented players here who we should be winning things with but this is not all on Poch, some of the players need to take a long hard look at themselves as well.

This reminds me very much of the Jose second stint at Chelsea. Player power will probably win.

Performances have been dreadful for nearly 10 months, its not acceptable anymore and the CL run papered over the cracks that were appearing. The summer should have been recovery, spend money and enjoy our first full season in the new stadium, now we are entering October with 2 league defeats, out of the league cup and just suffered our biggest defeat at home. You sort of get tired of finding positives, after the Newcastle game we thought maybe they would wake up. After the Palace win you thought we would kick on, after the Southampton win you thought ok we battled through and showed fight.

Bayern showed what a true CL club is, they are a class above us and ripped us apart with ease tonight.

I have no idea what the answer is, I don’t think another manager coming in will do much better with this squad without a lot more investment. Bit of a kick in the teeth we lost Lo Celso and Sessegnon is still out. But the lack of RB coming in is a very poor decision. I am not having Foyth as a RB still, yeah a couple cameos last season were fine but for christ sake we should be a team trying to catch Liverpool and City yet we are sitting round in training trying CBs at RB because they can kick a ball past an opponent one time. The problems don’t stop with Poch, there is a lot of things wrong with the club and it is quite worrying to think about. We have suffered as Spurs fans for too long with midtable mediocracy, Jol, Harry and Poch took us away from that and lets hope that we can push on and find a way through this difficult time. I would love for Poch to do it but if he does go I will not be surprised. Brighton game is a must win or I think he will be gone.

There doesn’t appear to be any leadership on the pitch, but then if there’s none off it I suppose it’s to be expected..

Anyone got the link of the interview from post match?

I bet he didn’t apologise again like last week.

We sung at the top of our voices today and I bet we get no thanks. If my tube journey is representative of the rest of the fan base who went to the game then he’s not just losing the players. The match going fans are too.

With all due respect, this form isn’t a new thing. We’ve been horrendous all throughout 2019. We are 10 months through and, summer break aside, we are no better than what we were at the start of the year. He’s had more time afforded to him to turn things around than any other manager under Levy.

Yes, but still we got top 4 and a CL final. No other manager have given us that.

I don’t want us to be like Chelsea, who sack their successful managers after a bad run. I want us to stick to our guns, and prove the haters wrong in the long run. Call me naive and romantic, but we are Tottenham Hotspur, not one of those plastic shit clubs. Time for us to act like it, both fans, players and manager.

Im with you that things need to change, but Sanchez and Dier, at home to Bayern? I don’t think the problem is individuals, it’s the collective. We’re a pushover now in a way we’ve never been before under Poch.

It's all just gone tits up at the same time. Pochettino moping around, squad unsettled, players requesting to leave but then staying (and having to play) all while the squad suddenly looks old and dead on their feet.

I know it’s a total knee jerk reaction, but I wouldn’t be opposed to a new coach with new ideas at this point. Poch has been our best manager in a generation, but I don’t think think he’s getting anything close to the potential out of the squad at this point :(

I wish we could consign this phrase to the rubbish bin. It’s not knee jerk when the same mistakes are made and problems encountered nearly every game for 9 months. It would be kneejerk having a go after losing the Newcastle game for example, but not when we’ve been through months of it culminating with our worst home defeat ever.

(Not having a go at you by the way, just speaking generally).

We got top 4 because of an incredible start to the season before the new year, we then dropped out of the title race and barely clung on to top 4 after being 15+ points safe.

The CL run, if anything, showed the true intentions of a lot of those players. They only performed in the champions league.

it’s dangerous to just consider this “bad form” it’s much more than that. Something at the core of this club is rotten and has to change. Poch has clearly lost the dressing room and to be quite honest I don’t blame the players. The system he’s adopted is shit.
