How can VAR check Son last week to rule our goal out for offside by millimetres but doesnt check that the ball has gone out before sending Aurier off.

Still Aurier and Lloris are absolute idiots. Ref is not giving us a sniff so gonna need to dig in. Hope Poch has learned his lesson and doesnt look to Wanyama to tighten things up...

Eriksen has had a good first half. Some clever and creative ideas. Theres a couple of times he could have chased the s'Hampton players down a bit more, defending from.the front, but in fairness, hes there if the ball breaks through.

He has been hard to handle. Good game thus far.

That’s why Trippier was our no 1 rb last season in case you’d forgotten what M Aurier is capable of.

As for this fkin ref, they’ve hit double figures on fouls with several obviously tactical to spoil the counter and this prat still doesn’t cotton on... pathetic.

If the ref is going to book Aurier for that 2nd tackle, how was there no yellow for the rugby tackle on Kane and Boufal has had 3 or 4 fouls and no card! No consistency!!

Bizarrely enough, being down to 10 men (and being a goal up) will help Spurs score more goals in the second half.
We play better and are far more deadly and accurate when on the break.

We perform more poorly when the opposition get 10 men behind the ball. We haven’t properly solved that conundrum yet, consistently.

We have players (and Son has suddenly upped his game another 50% since the sending off) that can destroy any team on the break.
Southampton will have the majority of the possession in the 2nd half (hopefully) and we can pounce and play fluidly when given a quick turnover in possession.

This can work well for us. As long as heads don’t drop and we maintain energy and enthusiasm.

Season ticket holder here and could not go today well you can consider yourself lucky that you have not had to listen to the shit coming out of Hoddles mouth . Tottenham legend he sounds more like a fan of any club rather than spurs c....t

Tbf, it's rare to find ex-footballers who are incisive/acute as pundits...

Right. Apart from 2 moments of clowish knobbery that will go down in the encyclopedia of footballing muppetry, I tji k we've played well.

Much more expansive upfront, Son has ward-prowse thanking the gods for the half time whistle. Winks has put in a brilliant shift, some.really important cm interceptions.

Good game
Quality lol.

I’m at the match so don’t have the benefit of tv replays and I’ve a few questions.

Tell me about Auriers 2 bookings. Both fair? Any mitigating factors?

what happened with Lloris?

Have I missed anything else?

Because it is heavily flawed, and for some reason cannot give/rescind yellow cards even when leading to reds.
So it would never even check that throw.

Having said that, as much as i love Winks he has to play to the whistle there and maybe that ball isn't on to the guy Aurier "fouled"
