Right. Apart from 2 moments of clowish knobbery that will go down in the encyclopedia of footballing muppetry, I tji k we've played well.

Much more expansive upfront, Son has ward-prowse thanking the gods for the half time whistle. Winks has put in a brilliant shift, some.really important cm interceptions.

Good game

How the fuck was that not a booking for that Saints player. He was so quick to give Aurier a second yellow but that obstruction couldn't be any more blatant.

Playing okay..... though as usual, moments of bewilderment have cost us.

Going to have grind this out now. Let’s see if they have the mettle.

Thoughts: Aurier and Hugo are idiots. Ref needs to grow a brain. Eriksen for once hasnt been missing. Ndombele is very good. VAR needs to go as it does not do the job it's supposed to do.

I take it you’re watching the game? We look like a side with a manager who will get the sack soon.

It’s a gung go game, relying on individual quality to score goals, no discernible structure to our game. We look open at the back, and the mentality of our players is all wrong which you can see from Lloris and Auriers fuck ups.

Literally you could have Tim Sherwood in the dugout, that’s what this game reminds me of.

And Poch still doesn’t seem to get to play 4-2-3-1 with Son on left rather than up top getting in Kane’s space.

I'm really starting to think Sissoko is our best option at RB at the moment. Aurier's an idiot, KWP is lightweight, Sanchez is terrible and Foyth is a liability. Don't think Sissoko could do any worse.
I would prefer Dier to be there. Fuck, we may be poor now, but Southampton is shit. A back three of Dier, Toby and Verts I'm still kinda ok.

How many fouls are they going to be allowed to get away with before they get a yellow? Boufal and Hojberg must have ten combined so far

I think you're wildly exaggerating it to be honest, the first 10 minutes were not great and they played a few balls where our defensive line was poor but aside from that we were in control. I wouldn't say it's a gung ho game relying on individual quality when we literally had Ndombele score a carbon copy of a chance he earlier missed, he then set Eriksen up for another one. We have a plan, it's get the ball to son, Kane take the defenders and have Ndombele/Eriksen take advantage of the space.

Both the Aurier and Lloris howlers came from absolutely nothing, we were under the cosh for neither, it's not like Southampton had them up against the wall, they were the masters of their own demise.

Southampton will really go for this in the second half which I think suits us.

Even with ten men we can outscore them on the break.

Lucas could be a good sub later on.

Good old wacky Serge Aurier and Hugo Lloris.

I doubt Poch will change things but t I feel 3-4-1-1 is the way to go. Dier in the 3 who will naturally be a but more of a DM

Sissoko on the right who has the pace and energy to get up and down.

Yes, silly foul from Aurier but how has VAR not picked up on the fact the ball has gone out of play??

It's getting to the stage now where the PL are beginning to look corrupt. VAR is picking and choosing when to intervene when it pleases.

Dont think it's corruption. Just good old cock up (sorry, I have conspiracy fatigue at present!)
