Definitely feels like something is off at the club in terms of fitness preparation and injuries. U23 last night looked completely shot in the 2nd half, Chelsea just looked much fitter. As the seniors have just looked slow and leggy all season so far. Always seems to be the way at the start of every season.

I'm not going to bother digging out at stats but our u23s have been so flaky defensively. Won't of been many clean sheets and an inordinate amount of come backs from the opposition.

Actually meant to say definitely as opposed to defensively lol but point still stands both ways.

Well Etete and Muir have returned today, because most injuries to our younger players tend to be very short-term as I assume they are mostly precautionary due to the effect development if exacerbated into long-term injury.

Don't assume Solberg is injured. He's come in from abroad and the club are probably just helping him to settle in. We've done it before with lads that have come from abroad, take our time with them.

I think Solberg is with the first team, sure he is in the Harry Kane finishing video from a day or so ago on Twitter. In the queue of goalkeepers. Just noticed him, not a mad stalker.

Feels like Etete has scored near enough every appearance since pre season. I think just one game he didn’t score.

Delighted the U18's are getting their act together. Just thinking what a well run youth programme can generate in terms of cash.
In the last 12 years or so Spurs have sold
Townsend, Smith, Livermore, Caulker, Mason, Carroll, Fredericks, Pritchard, Bentaleb, Onomah, Veljkovic, Luongo, Ball, Coulthirst, Ward & Walkes for approximately £80m. Now add the values of Kane (£120m), Winks (£40m), Skipp (£10m +), Walker-Peters(£6m+), Parrott, Tanganga & Georgiou (roughly £5m ++++). So approximately £260m. Quite staggering (about £ 22m pa).
I mention this after listening to the Bury Academy manager who sadly has had to tell 140+ kids (from 9 to Scholars) that they don't have a club anymore. What amazed me was the fact the Youth policy had generated £2.5m in sales in the past 5 years. He also pointed out that none of this return was put back into the Academy. Indeed there were times when the youth teams did not have enough balls to practice with and that their kits veered towards being frayed and shabby.
As a final comment (no judgement) Bury needed about £1m which is roughly two weeks wages of that fantastic(?) Sanchez of Man U. What a world.
