Ndombele doesn’t seem to have been training earlier this week and he appeared at a Junior Spurs event at the stadium on Tuesday and looked to be limping around. There are still three more days of training after today so Pochettino and the medical team might be hoping to make a late call on his thigh injury. Spurs missed his attempts to up the tempo and break the lines on Sunday, but throwing him back into the blood and thunder of a north London derby might not do him any favours if he’s not 100%.

If fit:

Lloris;
Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose;
Ndombele, Dier;
Dele, Eriksen, Son;
Kane

NLD is for regular line-ups, not fancy line-ups :shifty:

We're gonna get comfortably beaten, hate to say it.

Our defence is a shambles and our attack looks toothless. Praying I'm proved wrong, but can't see it unless Poch does an absolute masterclass.

There are selections I would like to see, but with Ndombele supposedly out I think I'm in the territory of not really caring what the team is now and just hoping whoever it is plays well. There's not a single player who I currently feel might make the difference and pull us through on Sunday. I used to think that through Kane for instance I'd at least be confident of a decent attacking threat, but I'd be happy to just see a match where he's reasonably involved at the minute. We need a collective performance, one in which we haven't seen for a short while.

Ndombele being fit or not is the key for me. If he's out, we're fucked. None of our current midfielders can transition it quickly enough, and whilst Eriksen can do it when he's in there, it takes away our creativity further up the pitch. Having Alli back would be massive too. Get him in with Kane and get that partnership going again

Sissoko RB, Dier CM, amazing how we will be forced with this outcome so early in the season, we seem to get injuries so frequently, heck ndombele didn’t even last 3 games

I've lost track of who's fit and who isn't and who's too sulky to pull on the shirt. What I do know though is that if we adopt the dreaded narrow diamond, Arsenal with Lacazette and Pepe will have a field day down the flanks and our 4th choice RB (whoever the fuck that is) can expect an uncomfortable afternoon.

The thought of losing this and then having the two week international break is horrible

Just had a look, our record is shocking there. I've never been less confident going into a NLD under Poch's tenure.

The Gunners have been beaten only twice in 27 meetings on home soil during the Premier League era, and their record has remained pretty consistent since they moved to the Emirates 13 years ago too.

Arsenal have picked up 28 points against Tottenham at the Emirates - they have only earned more against Stoke and Everton

In fact, there are few teams they have enjoyed playing at the ground more than their nearest rivals. They have scored 34 goals against Tottenham at the Emirates, seven more than their nearest challengers Newcastle, and only picked up more home points against Stoke and Everton.

Even conceding first does not faze them, as their win last season showed. That was their third come-from-behind victory against Tottenham in the last eight Premier League home meetings between the teams.

We really needed n’dombele for this , without him it’s the same spurs side as usual and an improved arsenal lineup.

Typical of our luck to have our record signing injured so early
