Juve dont want him, Man Utd dont want him.... Barca probably are not interested and Fail Madrid it seems arent overly interested either...

Getting worried now that he will stay, definitely dont want him to stay if it means we lose out on someone like Dybala, Countinho or Lo Celso...

Dont get me wrong, i rate him massively but like everyone else hes looked disinterested for a good while and i wouldnt want him in the dressing room if he doesnt get his move.

Hell i'd even flog him for a cut price to Newcastle or something haha

I think we're being quite canny with Eriksen. We're trying to get his replacement in first, waiting for the transfer window to close. Then he can go to a European side without danger of strengthening a league rival. Or worst case he stays another season.

See the case of Robbie Keane to see what Levy thinks of club legends who sulk over transfers. If that's actually what he's doing.

I still think that Real are in his ear, telling him that they'll come get him when they realise they can't get Pogba

I don't. He's shown that he downs tools (emotionally at the very least) at a moment's notice... that's not the sort of player Poch wants in his team. I want him gone, as far away as possible (ie overseas not United).

What? When has Christian Eriksen EVER "downed tools" emotionally or otherwise in his Spurs career?!

People blather on that he was shit last year but he carried our midfield in the absence of most of it and worked just as hard as ever AND still got over 100 chances created in major comps.

Christ our fandom is spiteful. Chelsea supporters treated Hazard like a hero and the prick downed tools for seasons when he didn't like the manager. Eriksen says he might like a new challenge after helping turn us from a 5-8th Club to a Champions League final and our fans write shit like this.

Baffling. Just unbelievable. And we "expect loyalty" SMH:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

If I were a foreign club i'd be waiting as late as possible (their deadline, not ours) to lower the price. My worry is how this may impact moves for GLC, Dybala and the rest. We'll need to bite the bullet and get those in and hope we can shift Eriksen after our window closes. Whether that's something we're willing to do however...

Spurs were demanding £80m from United for Eriksen, plus he is not motivated by money & wants a lifestyle change. So no great surprise if they have ended interest (per @sistoney67).

I think the problem is that if we do get a couple attacking players in, Real will start to turn the screws. That price will plummet pretty quickly as they see we're desperate to sell.

Interesting to see what'll happen now with regards to in comings.

Never believed the United move would materialize however.

Hopefully Coutinho being an initial loan would still mean we could come away with 2 attackers, with a view to

I worry not shifting him for an expected £60m+ could have a serious impact on these exciting signings. Unless we think we can get Atletico and Juve involved in the Eriksen bidding.

I do respect Eriksen for not following the money though.

Dan Kilpatrick saying 'he is not motivated by money' does fit in with what we know about him. I do think he wants a chance to play in Spain or maybe Italy but as a top player only the highest level. At ManU he will get more of the same so why leave Spurs? If it was City then yes he gets to win the League but is that his main desire? Give me Spain over Manchester and day, in fact any hour, minute or second

We should have plenty of spare cash though this summer and if this is the way we have to spend it then so be it. The cost to the club of not doing so could end up being much, much greater.

I think it is more likely that Eriksen only really wants to consider a move to a top tier club - Utd want him but he doesnt want them - none of the really top clubs out there either have the money or the need for a player like Eriksen this summer. That is his and our problem.

It's a big club gamble for sure, rightly or wrongly.
