Absolutely bossing it. I know it's a friendly but Trippier never played as well as he has today and vs City last season. If he is happy to play there then I honestly don't think we need a RB if Toby stays
He reads the game very well tooI said this a while ago yet I’m going to say it again. Foyth will develop into one of the best defenders in the world by the time he’s 26. Everytime I’ve seen him I’ve loved watching him, he’s such a brilliant player technically.
He makes mistakes and makes me feel on edge at times but he’s a brave young defender with his passes, tackles and dribbles - he’s bound to make errors. He isn’t a young defender that looks fearful and out of place, which is why I believe he’s made more mistakes. He doesn’t hide, he wants the ball and wants to make a difference. He will learn to judge tackles worth making and when it’s best to back off, he’s inexperienced. Playing for Argentina this summer was brilliant for us and I’m sure he will rise to the challenge this season.
I believe he has the talent too, looks ridiculously comfortable with the ball. Reign in those clumsy lunges, and he'll be a winner.I said this a while ago yet I’m going to say it again. We have 2 right backs (3 if you include Foyth), we don't need a 4th. If our friendlies have been any indication, KWP/Foyth/Aurier should be more than enough.Let's not get carried away. He's clearly got ability, that's never been in question, but I'm still not sure if he's ultimately going to be a right back. He was fine today but he was still beaten on a couple of occasions and he didn't offer much going forward.
Installing Foyth as our permanent right back may yet be a Poch masterstroke, but not signing a Trippier replacement could also still be a huge mistake. The jury is still very much out.

Asia tour was a mixed bag. He looked a bit better today 2nd half. Unless Aurier gets fit and up to speed with the team in the next 3 weeks, KWP will start the first 2 games against Villa and City as Foyth serves the rest of his ban. If he proves himself competent in those 2 matches, it wouldnt surprise me if Foyth is again primarily used at CB and we stick with Aurier and KWP. IMO, KWP is a bit slight and easily pushed off the ball. Going to have to work on his upper body strength to make it.Not to be a Debbie downer but KWP hasn't exactly looked ready in the pre season games I've watched....

If you’re expecting Foyth to be adventurous at RB, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. He’s not going to be that high up the pitch too often. Only if we’re really pinning them back.Lol, I really didn’t rate Trips but this is nonsense. He had more than his fair share of great performances.
Foyths performance today was a regular Ben Davies type performance, with a lot less adventure.
Fair point I only saw the Juve game and the Madrid game....I expected a bit more from KWP to be honest was just a bit underwhelmed.
He's just built like a young girl, which can be worked on.
